From Storey Arms side, park in the car park and take a gentle stroll up to the top of Pen-y-Fan, it is not too hard, make sure you take wet proofs in your back pack as the weather can change very suddenly. Check the local weather forecast before you set out.

Just did a days walking and working with National Trust on Pen y Fan. I would say it's accessible for all levels of walkers but be prepared for ferocious winds at some points on the climb.
Views are amazing at the top..especially on a clear day like ours.

We walked up here with our son in August 2010 with my late husband so that he could get some good photo's from the top. He did, but he also got some of us as a family which are now treasured memories.
It's quite a hard walk, however, my son was 10 when we did this and he managed fine, the top is very 'breezy' and chilly so even if it's boiling hot at the bottom, take a cardi!

Pretty easy walk up from the National Trust car park on the north side, near the town of Brecon. Spectacular Views.
