“Wonderful!”
Reviewed October 20, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

As a group of 9, it was lovely to have our own rooms, plenty of space but also to be able to use the lovely communal dining/sitting room. The cottages were very comfortable and nicely furnished in rustic style. The location was perfect for us - near the big walks (The Horseshoe, for example) but also really nice walking from the door. We will definitely be coming back.

“Perfect Accommodation for the Brecons”
Reviewed September 17, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We have just got back from a stay at Cilwych Farm Cottages in the Brecon Beacons. There were 15 members of our family going away to celebrate a 60th Birthday and to tackle the infamous Fan Dance.

The accomodation was absolutely perfect and we are already looking to book again. Every part of the accomodation is high quality from the cooking appliances to the crockery to the mattresses. There is lots of room whether you all want to be together or if you need time alone.

The age range of guests was from 6 years old to 60 years old and every single one of us loved our stay.

The owners seemed flexible and did everything they could to ensure our stay was perfect.

If you are going to the Brecons you won't find better than the Cilwych Farm Cottages in Brecon.

“Excellent choice for meeting with your friends!”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Cilwych Cottages is a recommended option for any group occasion. Set within the rolling hills of the Brecon Park, the farm cottages provide extensive space to catch up comfortably with ample facilities for a large group. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and had a reassuring farm house feel. The garden at the rear of the cottages was excellently kept and was a real gem on a sunny day.

The owner and staff were always polite and were flexible to accommodate my needs.

“Fabulous location, great property to bring a group of old friends together”
Reviewed May 7, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A group of old university friends booked the 4 cottages and communal dining/lounge area for a reunion. The property combined a fabulous location - we were able to walk up the hill from the back of the property, with good communal facilities for friends to cook, eat and chat, but had separate cottages to allow us all to chill out when we needed to. Short walk/drive to the nearest village for shop and pub. Short drive to walk in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. The owners were friendly and welcoming as were the two black labradors. We used the cooking facilities a lot over the long weekend and our only criticism was about the available kitchen utensils - we would have liked sharp knives and a cafetiere. Our friends who stayed in the property with the wet room commented that they would have preferred a bath with shower attachment. Otherwise this was an excellent weekend and would recommend the properties.

“An excellent cottage in a great location”
Reviewed May 5, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

I stayed here with a group of 14 friends for a week over Easter. The cottages were perfect for us; they were spacious, clean and well-equipped. We had all four cottages and each of them have their own kitchen, dining area and lounge. As well as this there is a communal area with a great sized dining table and social area. Behind the cottages there is pleasant outdoor seating (see photo attached).

The setting is ideal if you like walking. The location is nicely rural, but not too far from a village with a good pub. There are a range of walks to do in the area from flat canal walks to exploring the local hills.

I would agree with the other comment about providing a couple of large pans to complete the already well-equipped communal kitchen.

Overall, we had an excellent stay and hope to come again in the future - thanks for a great holiday!

“Great base for the Brecons”
Reviewed April 1, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The accommodation is all pretty modern and the setup would suit several small families or lots of friends. The area was very quiet with no real disturbance from the farm (apart from two fun black labradors!)

My only criticism would be that there were no very big pots for cooking large meals in.

“Great place for a get together”
Reviewed November 26, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We have just stayed here for a long weekend. There were 11 of us in our group and we couldn't fault these cottages at all. The cottages were all roomy and well equipped so everyone had there own space but the best bit was the communal area with a large lounge and plenty of seating and a big enough table for us all to eat together. Lovely surrounding areas for walks and brilliant for a bit of stargazing at night. Also had good food at the nearby Usk Inn. Everyone said what a good find it was and how we would love to return in the near future
