We ended up here when we wouldn't get into the Ghurka restaurant. We'd asked some locals to recommend somewhere and this is where they'd suggested. The menu is typical pub grub but it was good and the staff were lovely. The locals did say it wasn't always consistent but we must have been lucky that day.

The curry was hot but lacked background flavour, but not bad compared to most pub curries.
The staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you.
Red wine was served at a good tempurture, which is unusual for a pub , it is normally freezing cold- well done.
Comfortable and cosey atmosphere, yes a little tired but brand new and cold isn't always good.
A rare spotting, 2 French women drinking pints of Brains SA, I never thought I'd see the day.!!

A great place to eat out in Brecon, Old favourites such as Beer Battered Fish & Chips and Steak & Ale Pie are mixed in with the traditional char-grilled steaks, gammon and chicken, alongside more modern dishes such as pastas and vegetarian ranges to suit a variety of tastes! The mixed grill is excellent and very filling. Lighter snacks are available such as sandwiches and Jacket potatoes. The prices are very reasonable for the size of the portions. It can get very busy at times so booking is recommended to guarantee a table, especially for the Sunday roast dinners.

Come on Welly!! Used to be such a lovely place to eat, with the family and with friends but has gone worse than Wetherspoons in recent months. Tired decor outside, tired staff inside. Needs a bit of an oomf to get it back on track.

This is a seriously deficient venue in so many ways. We stopped by for lunch, and although the place was not unusually busy we had to sit on our plastic-leather sofas with the stuffing coming out of them for a long time before the food arrived. The assistant manager seemed much more intent on chatting with (or was it up?) the trainee behind the bar than bothering with the inconvenience of customers. We had plenty of time to look around us waiting for the food, and the whole sorry scene can be summed up in two words: poor management. Once upon a time the restaurant had had a stylish makeover. But now the furniture is worn and dirty, the floors none too clean, light fittings don't fit, and the bulbs don't match. It just reeks of a management which couldn't care less - and nor should you.
