“A friendly visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Beautiful cathedral with very unique wooden vaulted ceilings. The location is atop a hill overlooking nice attractive riverside walks. Friendly feeling active church with tea rooms in the close. A must see while visiting Brecon.

Lovely cathedral with plastic coated cards at various points to help you understand what you're looking at.

“Excellent visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

Lady on duty was very informative. Zulu part was extremely interesting. We arrived just before a wedding and lucky enough able to stay and listen to the male voice choir and see the bride arrive. Good luck Lauren and new husband (so sorry forgotten name)

“Very enjoyable”

The lady at the entrance was very helpful and very informative. She explained about the cathedral in a helpful manner. The cathedral was full of places to see and the choir were rehearsing. They sounded beautiful. It gave a great feeling to the visit.

“Serene cathedral in quiet setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

Brecon Cathedral is located out of the town centre, hidden away in a secluded hillside location. It nestles behind the trees in a walled close alongside the remains of former monastic buildings which now house a Heritage Centre and Restaurant. There is a regimental chapel, an ancient carved font and some interesting stained glass. The Pilgrim tearoom has some healthy snacks and there are examples of works from local artists on sale.
