We have just returned from a 1 night stay at the priory mill farm what an amazing place!!!so calm relaxed and just what you need for a break away from home!! Just the sound of the river or the hens!!!very good value for money and dog friendly which was a bonus!!!no horrible plastic showers but a beautiful wooden cabin,so much thought has gone into the small things around the site it really makes you smile!!!we will be coming back in June!!!!

Proper camp-site,very nice friendly owners not overcrowded with great wildlife.
Cold water for dishes no problem, this is camping not GLAMping! so good to see a site keeping things simple and not just a money maker (£14 night 2 adults) will return next year guaranteed .

Chose this campsite from the Cool Camping guide but were thorougly disappointed. Campsite is basically VERY small litterally ON a very busy road so it's never quiet ! Staff is rude and insisted upon payment straight away before we could even step on grass...Though Chicken roaming around are fun for the kids, and the little river too (bit muddy), you have to pay extra for the showers ( machine does not even work so ended up paying 1 pound for a 3 minutes shower !), there is a very confusing recycling scheme (I don't know how they expect people to sort out their rubbish more than what they do at home,...this is CAMPING !). Location is in the valley so you hardly are in the sun at all...Only good thing about this campsite is the Fire trays to borrow to make your own campfire. Oh yes and i forgot there is only a very limited cold water tap to do your dishes so go to the local pub for your meals instead !

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
If you are looking for a small-scale, low-impact, secluded place to camp, our riverside meadow may provide it. It's only a ten-minute walk from the Georgian market town of Brecon, yet the only buildings visible are our farmhouse and watermill, which provide the perfect backdrop to the camping meadow. Alternatively there is also a one bedroom holiday cottage (advance booking essential). The Granary is accessed up a flight of stone steps beyond the farmhouse. Quiet and secluded, overlooking a part of the river and ancient woodland that is separate from the campers meadow, the cottage also has its own garden. ... more   less
