We had a lovely couple of nights stay last weekend. Breakfast was great. Still some work to be done to the house etc but think it will just improve with this. Emma and Stevie were very laid back and welcoming. We didn't try an evening meal as we weren't organised enough. Rode the Gap Road which is easily accessable from the house.
Would like to stay again but I believe the whole house will be rented out soon rather than a B&B - maybe take the whole family!

Danyfan is hosted by Emma and Steve, who are both lovely. My room was spacious and had thee most comfortable bed. Dinner was great, but the dessert even better - it was a twist on an Eaton Mess and just tasted the business.

The location of Danyfan is very tranquil and simply beautiful, I wish I'd had more time.

Breakfast in the morning was cooked by Emma. It tasted wonderful, all the ingredients tasted fresh and the sour bread was also really tasty.

In all, perfect. Go stay there.

Dan y Fan B&B has just opened outside of Brecon. We were luck to be some of the first visitors. Our stay was wonderful. Owners Emma and Stevie were so accommodating after a long day of hiking in the hills. We are both vegetarian, and they whipped us up a wonderful dinner which we ate by candlelight. Our room was clean, stylish and romantic. This is a "a room with a view" type of B&B that is great for a weekend getaway. There is a peaceful garden behind the home that can be used. The food was wonderful. Emma and Stevie were wonderful hosts and we felt lucky to find them. Don't miss it!

Our journey into Wales ended up a long and lovely narrow country lane to a house called Danyfan. Danyfan is full of edwardian character and space with guest bedroom facilities having a fresh feel and tastefuly updated.
Our reception on day 1 and then daily was lovely. Our hosts were extremely keen to please and be helpful.
Danyfan's location is ideal for those who just want a bit of peace and to see rolling / 'working' country side. And their garden, even as 'work in progress' was a treat. For those who prefer a rising countryside, there are ample and challenging ridges nearby to stride across and then return back late afternoon to Danyfan in time for some extra ordinary home cooking.
What began for us as an unknown journey, both in terms of location and as photo workshop students, turned into a delightful, lovely and rewarding experience with both our hosts, photo tutor and other guests.
