“Fantastic early Spring break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We stayed 3 nights at the Glass House and enjoyed every minute. the house itself was fantastic -really well equipped kitchen and stunning lounge/ diner- with equally stunning views. The hot-tub was a great place to relax after cycling/ kayaking/ hill walking etc (all close by). The micro brewery opposite was and additional treat- the pale ale being our preferred tipple. we will visit again. Deri provided useful suggestions on where to visit and his puppies nearly came home in the back of the car!

“Very modern, spacious house with wonderful views.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013 for a stay in December 2013

We were five adults that stayed here over Christmas. Thoroughly enjoyed the space it gave us as the weather was just atrocious. Plenty to do in the house with tv, music system, wi fi and the hot tub. Cooking facilities good to make Christmas dinner- enjoyed the ice making facility on the fridge- freezer!! We neefed it as it was very warm. Beds comfortable and plenty of hot water for showers etc. We found the house a bit too hot for our liking and couldn't control the heating. - just a minor niggle really. Would love to explore the area more when there aren't any floods!

“A wonderful retreat in beautiful surroundings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We were a group of 8 ladies celebrating our 60th birthdays. This house is very well equipped with all that you need. It's spacious, clean, and comfortable, and superbly located just 200yds from two excellent pubs. The biggest treat for us, after climbing Pen y fan, was returning to The Glass House and relaxing in the hot tub....bliss!
The owner is extremely helpful. I fully recommend a stay here.

“You will not be disappointed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

There is a great sense of space in this unique building, yet it's comfortable warm and inviting. It is great for a romantic break as well as a family or even extended family break. The layout has been thought through and there are 2 areas to relax in with comfy seating. The kitchen is split in 2 and has everything you need including large fridge freezer the only down side is the very poor lighting in the utility area and lack of adequate lights over the hob. Other than that a great break and would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for the feedback. The lighting in the utility room has now been upgraded to brighter LEDs and the kitchen lighting rectified to better illuminate the hob with spotlights.

“Perfect grand design stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We loved the house, the garden and the surroundings. The hot tub is excellent after a hard days walk. Two good pubs within 200meters of the house.

Well worth doing the 12 mile walk around the Llangorse lake. Although other shorter options available.

Best to do an online shop for your stay as nearest proper shop in Aberystwyth. Spice cupboard well stocked for curry enthusiasts. Also loved using fresh herbs from garden.

Only negative side is that house gets hot during very sunny days. But you expect this with glass.

Will be visiting again.

“Has everthing you could need for a perfect break -top drawer!!!”

First off - This is like something from Grand designs. Undoubtedly architect designed and full of luxuries and interesting features. We went as 4 mid 40'adults 2 early 20's boys and 2 x 15 year old girls so this needed to appeal to everyone. Tv lounge, great sound system in lounge no 2, a large family cooking and dining space, hot tub, larder/prep area, fountains and lots of glass, large gardens and 4 beds and bathrooms. The only criticism would be that the towels are getting a bit threadbare but that's it!!! It really is a 5 minute walk to the lake and camp site shop, bar and dinner/ cafe. There are two pubs in the village The Red Lion and The Castle. The later is cosy and friendly with great food the former like The Slaughtered Lamb! Horse riding, outdoor activities and boating are all 5 minutes away. We didn't meet the property owner as others seem to have done but there were enough instructions and contact details to mean that wasn't necessary. You can eat out as stated however take food ready to eat in as the island range and griddle plate is a great socialising centre piece in the kitchen/dining room and worth making the most of. There's only 1 Chinese and one Italian takeaway that will deliver from Brecon and it's a 12 pound charge on top. More reasons to eat in!
