“lovely days out.”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We go to Erddig a lot as its not far from where we live,
It has some lovely events to take part all year round. Just last week was the apple festival with demos, live music & stalls plus homemade ciders, which were superb (well- what i can remember)

The only downer at the apple festival was one of the bar staff selling the ciders seemed to get the hump when people asked for a pear cider, and decided to give each one a lesson on cider, didn't come across as a very nice man really.

The events during the summer are fantastic, look out for "The third foot & mouth" group, who are dedicated to keeping alive the spirit of Carry on up the Khyber (ask your mum & dad) Great bunch of people.

“The country house where they trated the staff like humans!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Fascinating stories which they could probawbly make more of. Read the story of their former owners the Yorke family! (The on-site bookshop should have copies)

“Awesome”

Steeped in history, lovely gardens too. Great memories when I was younger and in the scouts, Squire York sang and played his banjo around the camp fire. What a character.

A fantastic place to visit to see how life was. Erddig gives a window in to the life of a country house and the way it was run

“Value for money”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

A value for money day out. plenty to see.A whole day could be spent just wondering through the well kept gardens, were your eye are drawn from one plant to another. Not sure it would be so good if it was raining.
