We regularly visit this pub for a meal and have never been disappointed. It is one of the few places left now in the Wrexham area that actually serve traditional British food that has not been spiced up or ruined with modern cuisine. The service is good and the staff are friendly.

Really disappointed this time round the young girl in the wacky was clearly out of her depth when it came to ordering my food took 20 mins and when it came 2 meals were wrong explained to girl and her reply was well I wrote it on there... yea I understand tht it’s not ur error but it still isn’t what I ordered and paid £27.46 excluding drinksy food wa then left on counter with the doors open someone eventually came took the food away but just replaced the peas and tomato for salad by the time the right food came to me it was stone cold... did not finish the meal as to cold and not one person came and asked if everything was ok with the meals we arrived at 5.30 and left at 7pm and we spent a grand total of £53.75 and was defiantly not worth the money really disappointed as the last 3 times we’ve been the food was exceptional will be lookin for a new family pub in future

Very popular place. Nice food. Could have done with cooking the beef for longer as was rather chewy.

Attended the Squire York on a monday evening. The pub was quite quiet.
Waited a short time to get drinks and order two carvery meals.
We ordered standard size and had choice of gammon turkey and beef.
The meat served was well cooked.
The choice of veg included roast and mash potatos. Mushy peas carrots parsnips cauliflower gravy etc.
It looked like a good meal and would have been if it had been hot.
We considered asking for it to be put in a microwave to heat up but were time limited.
Would try it again but hope for a hotter meal
