“Breathtaking.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

Visited 20/4/2013.A world heritage site with loads of parking that is free.It is best to park at the Trevor end of the aqueduct which has toilets, maps and The Telford Inn.You can also hire a narrow boat from here to take to the canals and cross the aqueduct. They charge £110 for the day.It is breathtaking to walk over the aqueduct on the towpath which has a safety railing about 4ft high.As it is narrow and you have people going the opposite way and bicycles have to be carried and not ridden. There is an information centre at the Trevor end.The village has a local Premier store for any provisions.Dogs are allowed over the aqueduct, best on a lead.

“I love this part of north Wales!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

I love this part of north Wales! The views from Pontcysyllte Aqueduct are phenomenal. If you’re travelling with someone afraid of heights, be prepared for a lot of stopping and starting, and coaxing along the walk! The canal boats passing along the pedestrian path just adds to the amazing walk. You’ll probably leave the Aqueduct with a grand idea to save up for a canal boat and take to the water! On a sunny day, this is one of the best walks around Wrexham.
