Description: Black Peppers is a well know establishment in Wrexham with an excellent reputation for its exhilarating style of cooking and astounding wine selection. The head chef Babul Hussain and his talented team have revolutionised Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines, by integrating traditional style of cooking with locally sourced quality produce. This combination of innovative cooking has led to wonderful flavoured dishes that excite and replenish your taste buds. The manager and young entrepreneur, Forkful Islam (Jay) has an excellent and very friendly waiting on team of staff, which provide a professional service and have extensive knowledge of the menu in order to help choose the desired dish. The Black Peppers restaurant is situated by the historic Saint Giles church, in the town centre. The lavishly decorated interior and its ambient lighting are in contrast to the historic setting on York Street. The establishment opened its doors in November 2011, having already five successful establishments across North Wales and England; it was decided to make Wrexham number six. Went here on Sat night - table of 10. Decent food and really good service especially as there were 10 of us who by the time we went had had a few pints.

Stand out dish was the Tandori Chicken... best i have ever tasted. Madras decent though not too hot that you cant eat it.

This was my first visit as we usually go to Anise. Rest assured - although Anise is decent - this is better.

Food was excellent-it was really fresh and tasty and the portions were just the right size! Lots of choice and not too pricey! The place is very clean and plates arrive hot and there are table warmers too, nice! The service is really lovely too, we enjoyed the meal!
The negatives are small but if they were acted on the place could be perfect! The toiletries must be renovated, they are clean but very very dated and this is a let down! The internal doors need replacing too as they are horrible, and change the toilette sign, it's awfull, like the type you would have in a public toilette! The lighting in the resturaunt could be a bit better too and it could look more stylish with a little help-they are trying but should consider an interior designer-it really does have great potential!!!!! I will be back but I wouldn't choose it for a really special meal but if they made these changes I possibly would!

I have just moved to Wrexham and didn't know where the best places to eat out were - Apparently the 'favourite' in Wrexham appears to be Anise, but I haven't heard good things about them at all - so went to Black Peppers which was enthusiastically recommended and boy were they right ! At about £20pp we had poppadoms, nans, curry and drinks (only 1 starter in the group of 3) The curry was delicious, and I can quite easily say, probably the best I have had in a long time. The restaurant has recently been done out, and looks very nice. Staff nice and friendly. All reasonably priced - the only con, was that as we went quite early, they had just opened up and lit a joss stick/insence burner and then sat us right next to it. We were sneezing our heads off at the musty smell - so did ask for it to be moved. But that's it - the only con, and presume that this was a one off and just because we went quite early. Brilliant food and will definitely be going again - in fact - tonight ! yum yum

The new management of Black Peppers have created a restaurant worthy of its good reviews. The menu includes a varied and interesting choice of dishes at reasonable prices. The service is good without being obtrusive.
