A forecast of lousy weather made us change our plans for a Carneddau ascent and take a lower level walk around Llanberis instead. I'd heard glowing reports of Steffan's cafe and it certainly lived up to its reputation for the hospitality, atmosphere and the coffee and cake. We'll definitely be visiting again, and next time we'll give Steffan the opportunity to welcome our dogs too!

“What an amazing little place!”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

I discovered the Penceunant cafe back in April when finishing my walk back down Snowdon with my 3 children in tow. I found the atmosphere and staff very welcoming (even though we were all dripping wet).
When my sister suggested me going to Snowdon again (with her and without the kids) I knew exactly which cafe we'd be visiting. On arrival we were welcomed into the back room to be greeted by a lovely open fire. Definately needed on a cold and wet
day.The hot chocolate was divine - made to order using real chocolate and very thick and creamy. The best I've ever tried. Thankyou and we'll be visiting again next time we go up snowdon.

Have visited Penceunant Isaf a couple of times before...there is always a genuinely warm welcome on your arrival from the owner, who obviously knows a thing or two about customer relations and keeps an immaculately high standard throughout the establishment. The key to it's success is the very high standard of beverages and cuisine combined with the impeccable, friendly atmosphere that greets every single customer.Penceunant Isaf is a credit to the whole of Wales !!!

“A cafe yes, but a little bit of kyffin paradise too”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

First discovered stefan's cafe on New Year's Day 2006 descending Snowdon after bitterly cold climb up the PYG Track...and there was Stefan open all hours, a beacon of light, warm and welcoming, food 'on the house' ....what a gem. Have since revisited, stayed and basked in the hospitality, kindness and local knowledge of all things North Wales & Anglesey.......and you get to park your car there free too!
