Myself and four of my friends that I made at university nearly 20 years ago (!) used this as a base for a reunion where we went walking in the hills near Bethesda, went to Surf Snowdonia and had a lovely evening out in Betws-y-Coed. Lovely accommodation with everything that you need. Perfect.
Thank you for a lovely staff. We had a great weekend. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Wonderful and comfortable beds. Great position. Thank you
A beautiful setting to stay. This area is stunning and the accommodation is at the bottom of the path to the Fairy Glen. You can not go wrong taking a break in this area. And we must recommend the pub on the corner - Ty Mar - for food. Its a quaint place, with good beer and amazing food. Work booking a table as you drive pass.
The accommodation is good - with spacious bedrooms and a good sized kitchen/diner. The entry hall is well sized for keeping walking boots etc in.
Things to know about the accommodation if you a looking for specific needs. There are three bathrooms - one is ensuite with a shower. The other two are sited away from the bedroom meaning you have to go through the lounge and the kitchen. The doors open directly in to the kitchen. One has a very small shower with little room to move, and the other has a bath which takes a long time to fill. There is a shower with the bath - but it is hand held and no screening.
The kitchen is well equipped - though limited number of mugs and glasses.
We were offered towel bales (at an additional £5.00 charge) - consisting of two bath towels, two hand towel and flannels. We took our own as we wanted bath sheets - I am glad we did when I realised that we would have to walk through the kitchen and lounge to get to the bedrooms after our shower.
There is limited seating - two x 2-seater sofas in a small lounge, so we think you would struggle to be comfortable with more that 4 in the lounge. Parking is also tight, so if you are coming in 3 cars you need to be aware.
There is a comprehensive file of information with instructions for appliances etc and lists of eating places and attractions near by. However, the property owner did go through each page individually when we arrived which dragged the check-in process out to over 30 minutes. Whilst many reviews have appreciated this approach - it was a bit full on for us, and felt intrusive when we had a knock on the door whilst we were eating dinner in the evening wanting to introduce themselves to our friends who'd arrived later. However, they were responsive and acted quickly when advised of a problem with a shower flooding and then the shower door not closely properly.
Garden is gorgeous - although we did not use it too much as we were out and about.
Good accommodation with walks from the door. Lovely and quiet but close enough to walk to the village. Helpful, informative owners.
Had a lovely stay in the three bedroom apartment . We were a group of three couples catching up . The apartment was lovely and spacious plenty of room for the six of us . What was good was each couple had there own bathroom so no waiting around in the morning . Kitchen was lovely only negative thing but only little no dishwasher but the men washed and dried up so not to bad . The hosts were really good and helpful they gave us a few ideas for the weekend which we did do . We went to the food festive in Conwy and visited the castle it was a lovely day out . On the Sunday we went to the top of Snowden (walked ) it was hard work but we did it and it was nice when we got back to apartment it was lovely and warm and felt homely and we just relaxed. . I would recommend this apartment .
This was a great location to stay to explore Snowdonia. The apartments were modern, well equipped, clean and furnished to a very high standard. Having the wifi was really useful. The weather was a bit cold for June so it was good that the apartments had good heating when needed. The owners , Tracey and Michael ,were very friendly, flexible, had lots of local knowledge and were easy to deal with. Very useful walking guides and maps were provided. There were easy walks from the door and the mountain ranges were about a 15 minute drive away. For provisions
Betws was just a few minutes drive away.
We would have no hesitation in staying there again.
