“Royal Warrant of appointment”
Reviewed August 27, 2009

The Proprietor Lesley couldnt have been friendlier, asking on arrival what we would like to get out of our weekend away was a nice angle, rather than asking what we would like to do. Seeming somehow to present an image we where the only guests and it mattered to Lesley how we felt when we left.

The local recommendations made where great and there is little need to mention the Luxury B&B itself. Lets just say if such things where possible a Royal warrent of appointment could be made for the services of Lesley and her beautiful home.

We stayed at Tyn Y Fron for a week , we arrived to a lovely welcome and tea made for us by the lovely Lesley. The week developed with friends arriving to stay too, we were looked after by Lesley recommending local eaters, and she even rang for us to book and check availability ahead of time. These small things add a professional touch. There are plenty of things to do even if it's raining, and Lesley advised that we should not attempt the Snowdon walk on a raining day which was sensible for novice walkers ! The following day she made us a pack-lunch and we nearly made the summit of Snowdon. Needless to say we left Tyn Y Fron feeling refreshed and a bit more healthy despite the great breakfasts !

We can't believe how lucky we were to find Tyn Y Fron. With it's beautiful setting with amazing views, this luxury B&B was everything we had hoped for and more. Lesley is a perfect hostess, nothing is too much trouble for her. Her breakfasts are to die for, and better than we have had anywhere else. My introduction to whiskey laced porridge will be a very fond memory!!! Our 4 poster bedroom was extremely comfortable and the little details of complimentary biscuits, mints, water were a lovely touch. Betwys y Coed is a lovely base to explore Snowdonia, and on the doorstep Fairy Glen is a magical place to visit. All in all this was a fantastic 2 night stay - wish we could have stayed longer and we will definately return. If we could mark Tyn y Fron out of 10 - this is definately a 15 !!

I have a very pleasant memory of my stay at this B&B. It is the best I have ever been to. Beatifully situated in a lovely garden, beautifully decorated on the inside too. Clean, nice, and a very nice hostess.

My husband and I visited Tyn Y Fron on our honeymoon and were really pleased that we had! Lesley is lovely - very friendly and helpful - and we loved Ben! We stayed in Room 1 and loved the decor - very clean, very modern and relaxing. The house is really lovely, with a very peaceful outlook. It's quiet and the walk into the village is an easy 7 minutes through the countryside.

Lesley makes awesome breakfasts! I loved that my sweet tooth was indulged each morning with either bara brith, welsh cakes or brioche.

We're coming back for New Year and we'd definitely recommend a stay here! I can't recommend it highly enough!

My Partner and I had a lovely stay. We arrived really late but when we did we me a very friendly and lively Lesley. She showed us to our beautiful room and advised us how to get into town for a very late dinner. Breakfast was very tasty and the views from the breakfast room was stunning. Lesley was very helpful in terms of telling us where to go for some good walks etc and how to get there, she also lent us a rucksack which we had forgotten to bring. All in all we had a wonderful stay only negative is that we only had 2 nights there.

Staying at Tyn Y Fron was a relaxing few days,Arriving in the afternoon we were shown to our room which was clean and modern, tea, coffee, bottled water, mints and other thoughtfull touches made us feel welcome.Taking advise from Lesley the proprietor we walked into Betws y Coed. It was a lovely short walk over a 1930s bridge, Lesley thoughfully provided torches to come back with if it was late. Breakfast was very good most of the food being locally sorced but what made breakfast special was the spectacular views from the dining room "wow".
Do i recommend this guest house? And does it merit 5 stars? Yes! To both questions
There is so much to do in Snowdonia national park that you can fill every day with exploring or just take in the views of the park which are spectacular! This is the perfect place to do it from.
There is a good selection of places to eat in Betws y Coed and the food is good we called in at the spar shop after eating at a local bistro and purchased some wine which we rounded the warm evening off with in the guest house gardens.
