“A beautiful gem in Betwsy-y-Coed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

Me and my partner came to Betwsy on a weekend break and couldn't be happier that we stayed here. Tracey and Stefan were absolutely wonderful hosts and very welcoming - not to mention helpful about the local area! The room was perfect and had everything we could possibly have needed. I'm quite particular about cleanliness, but I just couldn't fault it! Everything was spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast just couldn't have been any better.
The location is great - just a short walk to the high street - and the view from the front porch is spectacular.
So happy with Maes-y-Garth. One of - if not probably THE - best B&B I've ever stayed in. A perfect weekend. Thanks guys! Will definitely be coming back.

Very friendly welcome with comfortable rooms and knowledgeable insights into the best places to visit and eat.

Could not be more helpful and will definitely the No 1 choice when we next visit North Wales.

Thanks again

Mike & Kath

This is our first time frequenting a B&B and we are very pleased to say we had a great stay at Maes-y-Garth which is easy to find, clean room, excellent views, and great hosts. The walk to the village via a suspension bridge was a very nice unexpected surprise! The hosts did in fact have lots of recommendations and were very helpful during our stay.

We have stayed in may B&B's, and this is definitely up there as one of the best! The room was gorgeous and very spacious with fantastic views! The hosts couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was brilliant and breakfast was fab too!! Will definitely be going back but will take my comfy boots next time as the 10 minute walk into the village can be a bit muddy across the field (path) in winter! Didn't want to come home!

Tracey and Stefan were the perfect hosts, I arrived late and received such a warm welcome, despite my horrendous attempt at parking! Tracey had already clued up my companion with regard to the best places to eat and alternative activities (our zip line booking had been cancelled) and both of our hosts were so knowledgeable and friendly we felt we could ask them anything. Our room was beautiful with a huge king sized bed and biscuity treats which were replenished daily. The breakfast was yummy and the dining room has the most amazing views over the valley. Everything has been though of! Even torches and umbrellas for the stroll into village for dinner (around 10 minutes and very easy to navigate even after a bottle of Malbec). Altogether a fantastic B and B experience, we are planning on returning to Betws- Y- Coed in March and there is only one place we will be staying.

Room Tip: We will be looking for room 4 next time...it has the best views over the valley!

We arrived at Maes-y-Garth late on a Friday evening after getting stuck in London traffic and dealing with a flat tyre. Tracey very generously stayed up late for our arrival and welcomed us warmly when we finally arrived. After going straight to bed, we had a great breakfast the next morning and Tracey and Stefan gave us some suggestions for things to do over the weekend.

We stayed in a room upstairs with a balcony looking out over a gorgeous valley. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Also nice and warm which was a bonus after returning from a cold, wet hike!

No copmlaints - only wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay again next time we're in town!

Tracy and Stefan have managed to think of absolutely everything in their guesthouse and you really notice all the little extra touches. Tracy greeted me at the door on my arrival and made me feel very welcome; as well as showing me on a map the best places to eat, some activities I might like to try, some walks she recommends and, importantly, what's for breakfast!

The decor in Maes-y-Garth is very modern and it's by far the smartest B&B I've ever been to, the beds are huge and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent (full English, smoked salmon and all the usual cereals are available) and they even have free WiFi!

Normally, when I return to an area I like to try out the different guesthouses but I won't be bothering next time, I'll just give Tracey and Stefan a call.
