“Great B&B - Maes-y-Garth”

We chose this B&B just from the photos Tracey & Stefan had advertised about their place. We spent 3 nights from 11th April to 13th April 2012. Tracey and Stefan are a charming couple, very down to earth and are very helpful. They made us feel at home and recommended best places to eat downtown and a shortcut into town. My son who is 13, loved the place and have asked to come back to Tracey & Stefan the next time we holiday in Wales. We had the big room to accommodate the 3 of us, very clean premises, contemporary which we like, and we were looked after really well! Tracey and Stefan has made the difference - like putting a little chocolate each on the bedside table and there's the Cadbury hot chocolate satchets besides the usual coffee and tea that gives so much simple pleasure to us and bring smiles from us! So thanks Tracey and Stefan...... and here's to meeting you both again! Hope you'll be reading our review! Keep the smiles going! Au Revoir! Love from, Kean, Ryan and Evie

Room Tip: We had a large family room that accommodated us perfectly. It was a larger than usual room when com...

Tracey & Stefan are great hosts - very relaxed nd friendly. The detail is impressive; torches for the stroll down to the village, Wi-fi, separate temp. control in the bedroom.
What a perfect breakfast ! Great choice, deliciously sourced produce and excellently cooked.
Highly recommend to others and if we are back in Snowdonia we will book.

From the moment we arrived Tracey & Stefan couldn't have done more to ensure our stay was amazing.
I was told that the beds were 'super king' but they were HUGE...AND incredibly comfortable (with Egyptian cotton linen).
Their friendliness and hospitality was second to none. Providing us with a washing up bowl to use as a bath for our little baby (as our room had a large walk in shower), providing our friends daughter with a humphries corner plate and a little fork and spoon for her breakfast....even cutting up her sausageas and hash brown into little spoon size pieces!!
As standard they have torches & umbrellas by the door for guests to use, always handy when visiting Wales :o)
I cannot recommend this place enough...We will definitely stay here again.

As regular Maes-y-Garth guests, we were looking forward to meeting the new owners and finding out if they were achieving the previous high standards. I can honestly say that they are. In fact, they exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms and bathrooms have been beautifully redecorated/refurbished. Everything is clean, fresh and new. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and set off each morning after a delicious, hearty breakfast. Next year, when we return to Betws-y-Coed, we will definitely be staying here.

North Wales is, without any doubt at all, a superb place to walk and climb and eat sheep.
It is, thanks to the A55, very accessible.
In Betwsy Coed There are lots of persons from Liverpool there. And they are pleased, coz John Terry just got sent off.
Oh, and its a great place for coaches packed full of trinket shoppers.

But...

It's also THE BEST place for the outdoors.
For crying out loud..... the National Mountain Centre is just 4 miles up the road!!

And it has a sneaky secret...THE BEST B&B - EVER!

So... if you do not want:
Clean Room (no hairs)
Comfort.
Attentive Owners
Fluffy Towels (ladies)
Blissfully Peaceful nights,
Amazing Breakfasts
Security,
Privacy,
Free parking

Then can I suggest you book elsewhere!

We booked on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. On arrival we met the owners Tracey and Stefan who gave us a very warm welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable with stunning views across Betws-y-Coed, made even better with our own balcony, the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset. The breakfast was amazing and set us up perfectly for a day of walking, which was helped by our perfect location. I can't recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough and will be booking a return visit as soon as the sun come out again.

Room Tip: Ask for the balcony room - room 4 the views are amazing and it is great to watch the sunset with a g...

The Maes-y-Garth is in a perfect location very close to Betws-y-Coed station. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Tracey and Stefan. The room we stayed in was excellent, it was very clean and comfortable and had extra little special touches (biscuits each day and easter chocolate bunny as we stayed over Easter ) The breakfast is wonderful and service was with a smile. Tracey and Stefan chatted to us and offered us advice about walks in the area and local pubs and restaurants. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay and we would recommend this B & B.
