“our honeymoon, a gem!”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

We chose Aberconwy House for our honeymoon and chose very well! From the four poster, comfy bed, the big bathroom to the magnificant views & then one of the best breakfasts we've ever experienced. Our hosts, Stuart & Pat were exceptionally friendly & very very helpful! It is a true gem of a place, nicely situated & not too far of a walk in to Betws-y-Coed. We were welcomed with a bottle of chilled wine to celebrate the start of our honeymoon, which was a real nice touch. There is free wi-fi too & coffee/tea etc to drink in your room to your hearts content! The rooms are cleaned everyday (If you dont want that, then thats no probs) & nice & quiet. We absolutely adored the House, our hosts & the place & can't thank enough for the memories that have been added to our already special day. Five star!

Room Tip: The higher up, the better the view!

We picked Aberconwy House as our base to visit Snowdonia National Park.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are great, the beds comfortable and the breakfast amazing.

Will return again and would definately recommend to anyone.

The owners local knowledge is impressive and given freely.

Thank you
Luke and Laura

Aberconwy House is situated just outside the village of Betws-y-Coed in a peaceful location. The short walk to the centre follows a foot path past a farm house and fields of sheep then across a suspension bridge bringing you out near the station and the village square.
Aberconwy House exceeded our expectations. We found the location, room, breakfast and hospitality to be excellent. All of which made for very good stay in this lovely part of the country. It is ideally located for exploring Snowdonia. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Room Tip: Room 2 had a good view and a huge double bed!

We had a wonderful long weekend at Aberconwy House. Emma and Stuart were lovely hosts, very friendly and full of good advice about the area. Great views from our bedroom window. Superb choice of food for breakfast. Everything that you need for a visit to a beautiful part of the country. Will definitely return when we are next in Snowdonia.

Aberconwy House is lovely place to stay at and explore the wonderful Snowdonia countryside. We spent two nights there with friends and used it as our base for a two night stay during which time we spent one day walking to the top of Mount Snowdon a 20 minute drive away.
Our room was well appointed, and the double bed very comfortable just what you need after an exhausting trek to the top of Wales highest mountain! The full English breakfast was plentiful and delicious and set's you up for the day.
The accommodation is located a short walk (5-10 mins) to the centre of Bets-y-coed where there are various eateries and drinking establishments, umbrella's and torches are provided for the walk if required.
This place is a real gem and I would not hesitate to recommend it anyone considering it as somewhere to stop.

We have just returned from a last minute lovely weekend break in Betws-y-coed and stayed at Aberconwy House. When we arrived we were met by Emma who gave us a warm greeting and a friendly smile, the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect, the best we have ever had in a B & B just what you need to set you up for a days walking. The walk to the square is a short distance away but a delight. You must go to the stables for a drink and a pub meal the atmosphere is so friendly and the sheep's fleeces you get to sit on were really comfy. We loved the weekend so much we are planning to go back very soon and would definitely stay at Aberconwy House.
