An amazing experience, tranquil and beautiful. A great place to escape from the hurly-burly of modern day living. Be prepared to do some great walking but there is range of walks to suit everybody.

“Give the Marin Trail a miss”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

This trail is 15 miles of mostly fire-road, which all seems to go up hill. The few bits of singletrack seem to end as quickly as they begin - blink and you miss them. Even if you do miss them, it doesn't matter, as they're all pretty dull.

“Marin trail and hafna mine”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Marin trail is a large and very challenging trail if the red route is selected with great views of the forest, lakes and surrounding mountains. Make sure your in good shape before attempting to tackle this one or you may find it takes you more then the time shown, as the route includes many long climbs. The hafna mine is placed roughly 1/4 along the route and provides a chance to rest the your bike legs and explore a little bit.

“Poor footpaths”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We walked from Conwy Falls to Ty Mawr, through the forest and farmland, trying to use footpaths marked on OS maps, but these are completely unsigned and heavily overgrown in places. The trails, cycle paths and forest roads may make for good walking but don't expect to be able to use the footpaths.
