“A steep climb!”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

This is so accessible from the village of Betws-y-Coed. We did one of the walks which started from the Church in the centre. The initial climb out of the village was very steep and a little challenging on the legs however it was well worth it for the lake and the view at the end. The maps that you can buy of the waymarked forest routes give an indication of time and difficulty. We found the difficulty rating fair however if you are quick walker then the times are a little out. Lovely forest and great place to enjoy the welsh fresh air.

“Marin Trail”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Typical forest trail although it seems to have more ups than downs. Good car parking but in the forest with no visitor centre so car not secure as it would be in Coed y Brenin say. It can be accessed from Betws y Coed down a lane if you want to leave your car there.

“Nice woodland, lots of nice trails”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Very nice woodland, in places with very large trees. Especially the area around the boardwalk in northwest Betws has some very impressive firs. Lots of nice trails, and the abadoned quarries lying around adds to the experience.
