Stopped into the Alpine after 5 hours in the car and were delighted to get such a great welcome and have such an amazing cup of tea and scones with jam and cream. The shop is really homely, with lovely decor, a wide a varied menu, some great condiments on the tables is a nice addition...intrigued by the aray of chilli sauces :-). The conservatory on the back was warm and the place was very clean. They have newspapers and clearly have put a lot of thought into the set up here. As a big fan of a great cup of tea it was lovely to be able to take home a bag of the Alpine Blend, so a steaming mug will bring back happy memories for a while yet to come.

Nice place for a casual lunch or snack. All we ate there was fresh and some of the options were a little bit different. Good selection. Lovely coffee and delicious cake. Service a bit slow even though it was a quiet day, but what the heck there was no rush and the food was nice.

Great coffee shop. Pleasant, attentive staff, Original menu, . I really like the new conservatiory bit with the log burner in the corner. There are plenty of food outlets who could use this place as an example for food and customer service standards. Great capuccino.

Always go to the Alpine Coffee Shop when I'm in Betws-y-coed! And enjoy it every time.

There is plenty on the menu to choose from and the food is very tasty and comes out quickly even though they are always busy! Would recommend the Welsh Rarebit.

Even if the inside is busy there is a sheltered outdoor area with customer controlled heaters and blankets for the chilly days!

Staff are friendly and welcoming and the whole place has a lovely feel to it.

One of my favourite cafés will definitely be going back!

Miniature coffees at London Starbucks prices. Over-priced stale cakes. Best of all, "house policy" is not to allow anyone to plug in their phones or laptops for charging! Never encountered such customer unfriendly service anywhere in the UK.

No heating on, despite it being March and snowing nearby outside !

Use the Ice cream shop down the road instead, which serves similar things.

There are always two sides to a story, here is ours... customer was approached by a senior member of staff when she noticed he was using our electricity to charge his computer up..( usually a customer asks and we are more than happy to accommodate them for their politeness). She asked the customer if he would like to make a small donation towards the charity we support: he then became abusive and started to make a scene. She then unplugged his computor from the wall, he then started to rant about going on trip advisor blah blah... even to the point of shouting at a young waitress who had nothing to do with the situation. With all respect we do not have to put up with rudeness and abusive behaviour and look forward to never having to see this "gentleman" again...
