We sat on the station platform in the sunshine enjoying an excellent lunch. It was very busy on a beautiful weekend and there was quite a long queue to order food but once ordered it came quite quickly. The portions were extremely generous and it was good to see ingredients were locally sourced. As it was such a lovely day it was good to sit outside but I noted that the inside of the cafe looked welcoming, clean and bright. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to be recommended.

We stopped off here for lunch during our stay in Betws-y-coed, and enjoyed the food and venue so much we made sure we returned for breakfast on the last day of our break, and we weren't disappointed. Wonderful, locally sourced food at reasonable prices.

I was impressed by this café which is at the train station in Betws y coed. It has an alternative theme with an environmental image which interested me. There was a large range of coffee and delicious cakes to choose from and I had the Welsh Rarebit which was a generous portion and very tasty. Highly recommendable though its a shame there is no toilet in the café.

My wife & I like visiting the Alpine Coffee Shop because they offer an extensive selection of teas and the cakes are home made & delicious. They also cater for the gluten-free diet which was nice when MrsE took a friend there.
On a sunny day you can sit outside on the train platform enjoying your your cake & cuppa while feeding the cheeky sparrows that fly down to say hello. Prices are also very reasonable.

We stopped for a bite to eat and a pot of tea on our way through Betws-y-coed. We all had scones which were very tasty but are served with whipped cream and not clotted cream which would be my preference. The tea was lovely and fragrant. The cafe is very affordable and the menu is extensive. There are no toilets on the premises and you are advised to use the public ones down the road for 20p. The service is a little bit slow but is fine if you are not in a hurry.
