Stunning! Don't forget your waterproofs - the mist from the falls will get you. Steps down quite steep and uneven, take care.

“Lovely scenic view”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Lovely view but be prepared to pay for it! Be careful on the steps if its raining as they can get quite slippy. Its tucked away so can be difficult to find but worth the effort!

“Great but short . . .”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

A beautiful natural wonder in Betws-y-Coed but in my opinion a bit short . . . It takes around 20 minutes tops (including the looking around) and only takes 1 minute or less to get to the fall.
Me and my partner came here whilst on a stay in Lake Vyrnwy. Main point of advice - have a £1 coin with you! the gate accepts nothing but a £1 coin. Also a lovely pub across the road which does a great pint!
The waterfall(s) is surrounded by rolling hills to the front and the town to the rear and would really benefit a good walk round it to see the sights although it would be difficult to avoid the obvious treacherous routes entailed in this.
You get to walk down a set of steps past a small picnic area to see the falls which are beautiful but you see it all at once there's no walking round it or experiencing any other views than the one you're given.
You get what you'd expect from North Wales - Beauty - but in my opinion Pistyll Falls is far more enjoyable and a much larger fall without any entrance cost!

Our visit coincided with the previous recent heavy rainfail, which obviously makes for a splendid waterfalls. Well worth the £1 coin admission fee :-)
