Absolutely stunning.
Has to be seen. No description I could give would capture the essence of this magical place.

Be careful on the steps.

It was a bit hard to find as the sign post is very small & we drove straight past the entrance - its just before a bridge heading away from Swallow falls, and although it doesn't seem to have a car park at first, it does!
You put your money in a honesty box & walk down through the farm to the glen which takes a narrow path along the gorge. Its very picturesque, with spectacular views so take your camera. I would recommend doing the fairy glen walk & then the woodland walk as there is a flat section with picnic tables for you to stop next to the river. A relatively short walk but well worth the 50p entrance fee.

We spent Mon-Fri in Wales this week and had a lovely time. By far, the best of the days was the day we visited Betws-y-Coed and spent the afternoon at Fairy Glen. We were the only visitors there that afternoon so had the place to ourselves. We had a mixture of fun, climbing, enjoying the peace, staring in awe at the amazing views and enjoying the walk. The steps were not the easiest to master but we managed. The kids (aged 17, 9, 8) loved the place. I would highly recommend it! There is a fee to visit the site - but it is clearly stated and we considered it to be more than reasonable!

We walked the 2 miles from our guest house In Betws, and made our way through the fields towards the Glen. Not being sure what to expect, we were totally in awe of the natural beauty of Fairy Glen. This place is a must when visiting Betws Y Coed.

Lived in Wales for three years whilst a student at Aber no driving skills no knowledge outside Aber.
Twenty years later first trip to Snowdonia. The flag I know I've seen the dragon but never believed in the dragon, now believe it, believe in the dragon and visit Wales Snowdonia. If you've never been before the trip to Snowdonia is full of twists and turns to visit which will collect in your experience of the area including Fairy Glen. These trips to Shallow falls, the ugly house combine in something more than nature and history to give the area character and the belief that something fantastical could happen.
