Professional staff, very friendly and helpful. Good facilities. Plenty of parking and just 5 minutes from centre of Betws-y-Coed. Excellent restaurant menu and good quality of food. Superb quality breakfasts. Bars well stocked. Enjoyed the Welsh "scotch", distilled near Swansea I was informed.

I stayed with my husband and 2 children, the location is brilliant really central for anything in Snowdonia or even as far as the coast. We had a family room which was in one of the outside lodges, the room was clean and spacious but the sofa bed, which is meant to be for the children is so uncomfortable. My 2 sons do not sleep well together so we had a twin room for them to have separate beds and the idea was we would have the sofa bed, bad idea! We ended up putting the cushions of the sofa on the floor and the sofa bed mattress on top, slept ok but at nearly £200 per night for us it was hard to justify sleeping on a floor!

Staff are really friendly and room was kept clean and refreshed each day. The breakfast, whilst plentiful, was only average compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Missed things like fresh fruit salad and individual pots of yoghurt and nice breads etc. We don't all want bacon, eggs and sausages so more choice would have been welcome.

The restaurant food in the evenings is really overpriced for the standard. What we had was fine and after being out all day and you are hungry it ticked the boxes but it was completely overpriced for what you got. The stonebaked pizzas however were delicious, fresh and good value at £9.

We tried the Royal Oak in the town and this was similar prices but standard was a bit better.

Having a pool with sauna/steam room was a big plus point, the boys loved it after being out walking or climbing all day. It is small but clean and does the job!

Overall a good stay but for £200 per night for B&B for a family room we have had better.

Myself and my fiancée enjoyed a nice stay here at the beginning of April. The hotel is easy to find with ample parking and we were staying in one of the deluxe lodges at the rear of hotel. After checking in, an initial problem with our given room (there were twin beds not a double bed) was quickly and happily resolved by the receptionist.
The facilities and decor in the room were good and the staff in the hotel were all very helpful and friendly. The leisure facilities were good and just the tonic after a day walking in the nearby Ogwen Valley.
I would definitely recommend a stay here and we would certainly stay here again.

Stayed for a mini weekend break in early April '14 in a Lodge Room... What can I say but really enjoyed it... Staff were all very friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb and very reasonably priced. This even extended to breakfast - a typical buffet-style was laid on but the quality was, once again, superb.

Hotel itself is great and besides being set in a wonderful location, it is nice and central to everything... The only 2 minor issues we had were that the beds a *very* hard (so much so we didn't get much sleep on the first night but a little better the second night as guess getting used to them a bit) and whilst the room was clean, it could have been just that little bit cleaner (for example, dirty handprints on the doors - would have thought a damp cloth would have sorted that out)...

Would I go back? A resounding YES...

Hotel is very smart, clean, with very helpfull and freindly staff. Food was good if not brilliant for bar meals etc but the buffet breakfast is excellent. We had a chalet style room in the courtyard, clean and spacious with excellent shower. Only 2 very minor gripes, the fan in the bathroom was very noisy and ran on for ages after switching the light off,the television in the next chalet is mounted on the wall next to the headboard in our room, at least you could watch one program and listen to another very clearly, perhaps they had the volume turned up ??Very good value and excellent location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main hotel building.
