“Friendly staff, reasonable quality but nothing fantastic”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Room was spacious, clean and well furnished. I particularly liked having a private garden area at the back where I could have my morning coffee and 10 mins to myself!!! Breakfast was OK. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly (in particularly the barman/night porter who greeted us on our very late arrival on the first night - he pours a jolly good pint and is extremely friendly and welcoming). Food in the restaurant was satisfactory, but we are a little fussy and like something a bit special - still for the price it was very reasonable. Public areas were clean and well maintained. Stepson LOVED the pool. We actually would have stayed extra nights, but they could not accommodate us. We would go back there if our first choice of hotel in that area was not available.

Would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in this area! It is very clean, modern, extremely comfortable and has a pool & fitness room. We ate in the bar and the food was lovely. In the morning the breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly and our room was very nice, with amazing views!

We had a family meal at the Waterloo Hotel last Saturday. This is the first time that we have visited the hotel since it has been redesigned and we were certainly impressed. The new design is fantastic with plenty of room in the bar and restaurant. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and the service was superb. It was lovely to see mainly local Welsh speaking people working at the hotel. Noson wych - llawer o ddiolch.

I only stayed the one night (alas, for work) but would love to go back again in my own time. Friendly staff, good food, comfy room and in a fantastic location. Easy parking too!

What more could a traveler ask for?

Room Tip: Even rooms at the front are quiet at night, it may be the A5, but there isn't a lot of traffic

Stayed here as part of a voucher deal in November 2012 and could not fault this hotel, it was modern, airy, clean, very central to town (5 mins walk), good surrounding views; excellent spa area with pool, sauna and jacuzzi which was spotless and the woman who worked there was very friendly and gave us great local advice about restaurants etc. The breakfast was excellent. This is a great base for exploring the area and if you like walking and we would definately stay here again, just waiting for another voucher deal!!

Stayed here at the last minute to go walking around Snowdon. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. Room was good size and clean but no air con mean't having the windows open and the road is very noisy. The bar is a very nice place to get a good meal.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel. The road is very noisy.
