I stayed here for 4 nights in an upstairs lodge room - first impressions of the room were positive; it had a nice living room area and there was a roof window over the bed - the bathroom was quite nice too. On the downside however, there was no safe or minibar/fridge in the room, the bed was hard and there was poor soundproofing (I could hear people talking on their mobiles in the room below me quite clearly).
Staff were very pleasant and breakfast was very good - a nice fry-up buffet every morning.
If you are coming to Snowdonia without a car, I would reconsider booking this hotel since it is a 10 min walk from the centre of town (it's on the outskirts) - the closest shop is the petrol station near the Waterloo bridge.
Overall it wasn't a bad stay - the main issue was the miserable weather!More
