We have stayed in this Hotel for more than twenty years for our annual dinner as a climbing club. In all those years service has been excellent. Food is always good, service exceptional. The staff cannot do enough to assist and have become friends after all these years. Refurb due on some rooms in 2013 but even those due for refurb were good. Convenient for town center and access to Snowdonia mountains and coast.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear courtyard are quiet all delux rooms are well equipped ,spacious and comfortable.

We stopped at the great western waterloo hotel on Dec 12, for 2 nights.
I would just like to say what a lovely friendly hotel it was, & would certainly want to go back, they upgraded as to one the better rooms which was very nice, the spa facilites were good, which was lovely after a long walk.
It was local to all bars & restaurant, with great views. staff were very helpful.

Only stayed one night at short notice, Very clean and tidy, excellent restaurant was fully booked, a little expensive, which is probably why we managed to get in. A brief stroll into town into various facilities, Very pretty, bustling with tourists. Beautiful surroundings, river and falls. We conquered snowdon the next day after a great nights sleep. Would return.

Visited on the 18th Jan and stayed the night prior to a friends wedding. The hotel is very clean with extremely helpful staff, allowing us to extend our stay a couple of hours whilst we got ready for the wedding. Thank you and good luck with the refurb we'll hopefully be back.

You won't go far wrong staying here.
Comfy rooms, good breakfast, and good value for money.
The hotel also has the added bonus of a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi ideal for recuperation and recharging the batteries after a day in the mountains.
Only word of warning would be that this hotel caters for coach trips so breakfast can be a bit fraught as the participants all decend on the breakfast room at the same time in a hurry to fuel up and ship out.
