Following an unpleasant surprise in Bangor, we needed to find somewhere nearby in a hurry.having stayed at The Waterloo before we got in touch. The Hotel supervisor, Megan, could not have been more helpful. The en-suite lodge rooms were clean and comfortable. The food exceptional - we did not bother to eat out in the evenings. There were free spa facilities available too.We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: The Lodge Rooms are apart from the Hotel, but compensate by being further from the road and therefor...

Allocated a standard lodge for the deal. A little dissapointed with first impressions of the room as it was rather dark and in need of modernisation however It was clean.
Worst aspect is the rock hard bed that spoilt any chance of a restful sleep and caused us to cut short our break
Breakfast was good, bar & all staff friendly, leisure facilities looked good though we didn't use them.
Does it ever stop raining in Snowdonia?

Just returned from a two night stay, and thoroughly enjoyed the break. Our room was in the lodge backing on to the railway, but as the trains do not run at night this was not a problem. The room could possibly be updated, but was comfortable and spotlessly clean .The food was good, and the service friendly and efficient. I would definitely return here, and recommend the hotel to friends.A special mention to Matt serving at the barfor excellent service and friendly help to strangers in the area. Thanks for a lovely break.

Room Tip: If you require a ground floor room, it will be in the lodge. There are no ground floor rooms availab...

Our room was in the "lodge in the grounds" which was actually a motel style room across the car park. Advantage was you could park right outside disadvantage you needed brolly to go for breakfast! Dingy room in need of a good clean and redecoration and modernising. Ground floor room backing onto grassed area and railway line. Large window with no net curtains so absolutely no privacy unless you shut the curtains which plunged the room into darkness! The light bulbs were so dim they were useless. The walls were paper thin and you can hear the people next door talking and their tv. the bathroom nets were grubby, the loo in need of a good scrub. After the look was flushed the plumbing banged and rattled loudly - not great during the night! The tea tray in the room was sticky and in need of a wipe and stayed this way during our stay. Breakfast okay but nothing special. We paid only £40 per night b and b as we had an internet voucher. This room was in no way worth the £118 per room lowest rate charged. This is no way a 3* hotel! We stayed at a premier inn on the way which was cleaner brighter quieter and cheaper with a better breakfast!!

We love Betws y coed and stay every year.

We stayed for 2 nights and found that all the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful.

The room was standard for the class of hotel and the rooms were clean.

Breakfast is good but probably best when the hotel isn't very busy because then you get a menu and order what you like. We had this on the first morning but the second we had the standard buffet.

The food in the restaurant was really good as was the service.

Is was great to have use of the gym and pool next door.

The Bridge 1815 within the Waterloo Hotel is a relaxing, informal venue for a drink, snack or meal. We drop in most weekends and are always impressed by the great , friendly service, locally sourced food and drink and the location is lovely. The Waterloo constantly changes to meet customers' expectations, it's the best place in town!
