“Lovely house. Welcoming hosts.”
Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

Spent two nights with my son last week. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming hosts. We used a Groupon deal and thought it was great value. Room furniture is a little dated and the bathroom had the remnants of old fixtures. Everything was spotlessly clean though. Modern TV with all the freeview channels and free wi-fi was a welcome feature. Plenty of tea/coffee/hot choc with biscuits in the room every day and fresh milk could be requested, although we managed with the little cartons. Very nice pool and sauna. The jacuzzi was not working and the shower in the sauna only had cold water - but to have these facilities at all is a real plus. Breakfast was ample and service excellent. Overall, a perfect place for exploring Snowdonia and I hope to return.

Just returned from a 2 night midweek break at Park Hill Guest House. The guest house is perfectly located, a short walk/drive to the busier Betws-y-Coed. With a 10min drive and you will experience the fantastic sights of the Snowdonian mountains. House and rooms are very good, breakfast excellent, swimming pool is the icing on the cake, used both nights. Thanks Jaap & Ghislaine

Stayed at Park Hill with son for easy access to Snowdon walks and Coed-y-Brenin mountain biking (30 mins away). Hotel is a short amble to Betws-y-coed, with impressive views over countryside. Having stayed at many 4/5 star hotels around Europe, I cannot find fault with this boutique gem. If you are lucky enough to stay, you will be delighted by the pleasantness of the owners, who take a personal interest in your stay and are only too pleased to offer services and local knowledge.

Breakfast is ample, and served at pace as required. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna are wonderful, and almost private - just the antidote to sore limbs and tired bodies. Will definitely return....

We spent two days there. The location is wonderful - one of the most picturesque areas in Snowdonia. The hotel is a nice little place. It is clean and tidy. The hostess is a lovely lady who makes you feel at home. She is one of these people who can make a place really special.. We will definitely return there.

We chose this guesthouse because we though the pool would be fun for our toddler. We booked in and paid through Expedia, then called to see if they could provide a travel cot, to be informed (very curtly) that they do not accept children under 8 due to insurance for the pool.

I checked back and it did state this in the small print on Expedia, which I should have checked, which is why I am giving them 2 and not 0. It's such a shame that the owner showed no kindness on the phone, nor offered to refund part of the money.

On the bright side, we stayed at Meadowsweet Hotel, instead which was fantastic!

I've stayed here three times now. Each time has been brilliant and I'm booking again as soon as I can get time of work. great location for site seeing in North wales, or just for a relaxing weekend break. Clean, tidy, friendly, comfortable. Have recommended to family and friends. Food is good as well.
