We were a family of 4 and ate here for dinner for 3 nights in December 2012. Food choices, quality, and prices were superb. Our 17 and 13 year old sons were impressed too. After long winter walking the portions were more than adequate. Tip, get there early to make sure you get a seat!

Went here for a bite to eat, tables that were free were not cleared and had missing chairs, food was terrible, the chips were underdone oven chips in my opinion, the steak sandwich was lacking meet, and the salad had seen better days!
Give it a miss unless you have no taste buds...

We visited Sunday lunchtime before Christmas, then returned later for coffee and mince pies. It was quite busy, but tables were easy to find. For our coffee we sat outside under a heater to enjoy the twilight views of the surrounding mountains.
Because daytime is short we had a light lunch, baked potato and welsh rarebit. both were well cooked and tasty. We were impressed with the side salad, plenty of variety and a nice dressing.
Service was quick and friendly on both visits.
This is where we always eat in Betws y Coed, and we highly recommend it.

Three years ago, I visited this restaurant and, despite being very busy at the time, enjoyed excellent service and a great meal. I'm afraid the standard of service and the quality of the food has slipped a bit. Could do better!!

We ate twice at the Stables. The portions are very big and the food well cooked. My son had one of the biggest mixed grills I have seen for a while. I had pasta which was also very nice.
The reason I say chaotic is there isn't a booking or queueing system so getting a table is pot luck at busy times.
Definitely worth a visit if good food in large portions in casual atmosphere.
