Lovelly old (proper) pub. The sort of place that you wouldnt want to leave on a cold, winters night. Great food and good choice, but booking is recommended or go very early in the evening.

Superb food . Extensive menu. So good we visited twice in five days. Local delicacies on the menu. I particularly liked the potted shrimps and smoKed salmon starter

Drove to North Wales unplanned over Easter. Most hotels and B&B's were fully booked. Drove past this coaching inn to get fuel nearby and decided to ask if they had a room for a family of 4. Negotiated a rate and got the suite. Great room with four poster and spa bath. Very busy place with diners booking in advance to eat here. Did not have dinner but portions coming out of the kitchen were huge. The shoulder of lamb could feed 4 easy! Must visit again and if you are in the area, definitely eat here.

Need to book. And might I suggest you go early. We were offered 6.30 or 8.30 and went for 8.30 by which time two of the selected mains (we were a party of 4) were finished. However, the two who had the replacement dishes were very pleased with them. There was a large choice. It was a beautiful pub and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going again.

Me and my partner booked this restaurant in advance and were so glad we did. We were given a lovely table next to the window in a room with three other tables. The restaurant was full but we were still made to feel like the only ones there. We had excellent service and the food was brilliant. The price is definitely reasonable and the little added extras went down a treat. I recommend the goats cheese to start.
