Good choice on the menu, great food, excellent service, nice ambience, good wine list. If you want a more 'upmarket' dining experience in Betsy then this is the place for you. I will certainly eat here the next time I visit Betsy

Massive menu with really great range of food. Big portions. Pigs Liver was so good. Gingerbread pudding was worth every calorie! Staff really nice and attentive even though it was very busy (Saturday before Christmas). We ate on the Friday night too - it was so good we booked again for Saturday.

We ate here in December 2013 and what an absolute gem of an eatery.
Excellent service, and excellent food.

The food never disappoints here. Recently we had a superb shepherds pie filled with tender pork belly, whitebait, which is not so common nowadays, and a "homemade burger", a tower of a thing that was elegantly presented and tasted wonderful.
Service is always good considering the food is freshly cooked. The atmosphere in the main bar area is characterful with the antique tables and seats/armchairs but could have done with the log fire being lit, it was lunch time so maybe it is only lit in the evening.
Price wise it is not a cheap pub grub, but good value considering the quality. It is popular though, so booking ahead is probably wise.
Parking is either outside on the busy A5 or in the pub's adjacent small car park. There is additional parking a short way down the road opposite, the A470 Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Undoubtedly one of the best dining pubs in the area.
