“Super place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2012

If you like 16th century coaching Inns thatnhave retained their original character, you'll love this place. Beams, wood fires, candle lit dining and the menu has a vast amount of choice. Everything very well cooked, presented, service excellent - you have the feeling of having gone back to a bygone age in the best sense.

“A very enjoyable dining experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2012

We reserved a table and sat in the very cosy bar area. Very atmospheric olde worlde with interesting paintings etc. Although there was only two of us our table had two dining chairs and two easy chairs. So we could relax with a drink before our meal, eat sitting up and relax with coffee afterwards. Ideal after a day's walking. We had the trout wich was excellent. The restaurant was full and deservedly so. Highly recommended.

“Always Good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2012

It is always good to visit this old inn at the roadside near Betws Y Coed on the A5.
A charming building with a warm welcome inside. The food is always good and good value. There is something for everyone in all price ranges.
It is great to fine olde world charm in an historic inn rather than a modern bland interior so common these days.
