We stayed in this guest house for 2 nights and were exceptionally impressed with the cleanliness, service and quality of the breakfasts. The superior king sized room was well equipped and very tastefully decorated. A packed breakfast was available for walkers wishing to make an early start and they will provide packed lunches to order. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it.

A very well set out compact room. It had shelves, hooks and mirrors in all the right places. The room felt plenty big enough with its modern and clean contents. Breakfast was very yummy and the welcome was excellent. Car parking was plentiful and the situation of the house was perfect. The bed was very comfy, the room was warm and there was loads of hot water.

Many thanks for taking time to do this review We were pleased that you enjoyed your time with us and especially in our compact room. We always say in our description that it is compact and ideal for shorter breaks and we are so glad you found the room to your expectations. Hope to see you here again soon and perhaps try one of our bigger rooms next time you come.

Thanks to Bernard and Mairly for providing our group of 7 such fantastic hospitality after our 3 Peaks Challenge. Our weary bodies enjoyed the lovely comfy beds and the yummy breakfast the next morning! We will definitely back. Carole Monteregge

Room Tip: All rooms were good with 2 at the back if you require a quieter option.

Incredibly warm welcome, Bernard and Marian were the most friendly people I think we've ever met. Extremely accommodating and very helpful. Made our stay very relaxing – just what we need after completing the three peak challenge in 24 hrs.

Breakfast was superb, all home produce.

Thank you.

Having a surprising call from our son to say he was going to emigrate to New Zealand and wanted a weekend away with us on a busy bank holiday in May was enough to turn my hair grey.. Using the internet and mobile phone to try to find accommodation in Betwys-y-Coed was a nightmare until I glimpsed 'Please ring us if you need one night, we can often help with your requirements' and rang Mairlys guest house. Low and behold they had a small double room with en suite. The Guest house was within easy walking distance from the shops and attractions, had parking and served a super breakfast. Fabulous! Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: The rooms are all good and the website states a compact room or standard. Lovely views.

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We are delighted you enjoyed our home cooked breakfasts as we buy only local Welsh produce from an award winning butcher and he never lets us down! Hope to see you here again very soon.

This is at least our third stay at Mairlys, and we weren't disappointed. We arrived during one of the coldest weeks of the year with snow forecast but we had a warm welcome as always from Marian and Bernard and quickly settled into the cosy lounge for the evening. The room was as always, spotlessly clea, comfortable and warm, equipped with everything we could possibly need.
After a hearty breakfast, including several different homemade jams, we went off for a fantastic walk around a nearby lake, recommended by Bernard, followed by a lovely lunch in a local pub.
Another comfortable night was followed by yet another tasty breakfast.
Mairlys is ideally located just as you enter the village and is just a short walk from all the local shops, cafes and pubs. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
