Often referred to as "The hub of Snowdonia", Betws y Coed is just the place to use as a base for exploring this fabulous area. Castles, beaches, adventures galore, not to mention the amazing mountains are all within a 30 minute drive. Many walks start on our doorstep as does the famous Marin trail. Shops, restaurants, cafes are all within a 10 minute stroll and even closer are the seating areas in the grounds and woods that can be enjoyed without moving at all. Happy you enjoyed your stay and happy you wrote us such a nice review. Thank you.

From the moment you step inside the door and meet owners Eileen and John, you will be impressed to the highest degree. Everything is just how you would wish to find it, every detail accounted for and special little extra flourishes that are so very pleasing.
The setting is picture perfect with views down through the woods to distant green hillsides. There is not the trace of any noise from traffic, although the village is only a comfortable fifteen minute walk, mostly along the river.
The rooms are beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated with all the little extras. The breakfast room is very pleasing and there seems to be infinite choice and variety. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Eileen was able to provide excellent advice on local walks and more importantly some useful tips on the big Snowdon ascent.
My daughter Esther and I could not have been happier. Everything about our extended weekend stay was just so right. We have promised to return. And return, we most certainly will.
Thank you, Eileen and John.

Thanks for your wonderful review - we should use it in our advertising. It was really most enjoyable having you and your daughter stay and we are so happy you enjoyed it so much. Tan Dinas is a fantastic house - as a former hunting lodge it lends itself perfectly to B&B and sitting in this splendid location is a perfect bonus. Thank you for your kind words. Hope to see you again soon.

Tan Dinas is wonderfully positioned on the edge of Betws-y-Coed, but easy walking distance from village. The accommodation, service and breakfast were all absolutely first class. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend it to everyone, and hope to return before too long ourselves.

Room Tip: Rooms at front have lovely view over valley

It takes about 5 minutes to walk into the village and slightly longer to return. The village is always busy as it has much to offer, but with people, traffic etc it is nice to escape from it and enjoy the peace and tranquillity offered here at Tan Dinas. Happy you enjoyed it and hope to see you again on the terrace enjoying the view. Thank you so much for writing a review.

Just back fom a wonderful 3 night stay at Tan Dinas. In agreement with a lot of the other postings, this is one of, if not, the best B&B's that we have stayed in, and we have stayed at a fair few. The house and grounds are just lovely. The attention to detail is amazing and the welcome second to none. It was lovely to meet Eileen and John and be welcomed into their home. I loved our room and the little touches were very thoughtful. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked with a good choice on offer. We are already planning our next trip back and know that we will have to book early! I really can't recommend this place highly enough and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. See you again soon. Claire & Jason

Beautiful setting, ideally situated for stunning walks and only a short stroll away from the village. This is the best place you could ever stay. Everything is perfect with accommodation, fab hosts and beautiful breakfasts that will certainly keep you going for the day! Eileen is full of knowledge on walks and the area. We look forward to returning.

We agree totally that our location is the best - we feel so lucky to live here. In the forest with stunning views from every window and south facing so the sun rises in the breakfast room and sets in the sitting room...we love to share it with guests and hope you will come again soon to have another peek. Thank you for taking time to write a review.

This is a real gem of a B&B! The house, in its beautiful woodland setting, is calm and peaceful at the end of the day and there was nothing to disturb a good night's sleep.
John was a master at cooking such a variety of breakfast choices, which all tasted delicious. Eileen made each person feel very at ease - her knowledge of the local area together with her own maps, made for great days out in the mountains or on the coast. Nothing was too much trouble. Just perfect! each room has the advantage of a small refrigerate excellent for yogurts and drinks. The best B&B we have stayed in for a long while.

Room Tip: Ask for the Cedar Room which has two windows looking out to the front and side elevation.

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your 8 day stay with us, it was a joy to have you with us. We feel having a fridge in the bedroom is a great asset, not only does it afford you the luxury in a B&B of having fresh milk, but it will keep your wine cool too! Do come and see us again and thank you for the lovely review.

This is our second visit to Tan Dinas and once again we had a great time. John and Eileen are wonderful hosts and make you feel as though you are long lost friends. We had some great chats. Tan Dinas is set in a idyllic, picturesque part of Wales. We spent 3 nights here and in the afternoons we sat outside enjoying the view on return from our touring. Breakfast is superb and John is a great cook. He makes the best porridge with honey and cream. Yummy! Also the welsh rarebit is rather special too. Thanks again John & Eileen for making our stay so special. Shame we live so far away as we would be visiting regularly.....Leanne & Don (Tasmania)

Being in the B&B business yourselves, we really do appreciate your balanced review. We too wished you lived nearer so we could see you more often. Here's to your third visit ?
