“An Oasis”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Amidst a host of closed cafés (it was January!), these tea rooms were an oasis. Delicious soup and bread, and a toasted sandwich filled a yawning hole! A rather limited menu, but run by a charming couple.

“Over-priced, reheated food”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

Actually my friend and I found the whole experience unpleasant - the place was musty, cramped by too many tables and arbitrary bic-a-brac. Had we not been hungry and politely British we would have left before ordering. It was empty but for another couple who complained about one of their meals. The food had obviously been cooked previously, frozen and then re-heated - which in the case of the five or six little circles of goose meat (extremely expensive!) that they dished up for me is a very worrying practice.... and left it dry and tasteless. Some of the vegetables (mushy and mixed up together) had worrying "under-tastes" and the bread and butter pudding was more of a soggy mush - again from reheating. Maybe they should learn to use their microwave better.... And as for the "quirkiness" that other reviewers have referred to, they're right - except that it's dreadful!

“Cosy tea rooms”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

Just popped in to get out of the rain and was surprised how comforting and satisfying the place was. We had a snack and coffee and a nice chat - then the rain had stopped and we could carry on with our walk! Would definitely re-visit

“What a gem! Must visit!”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

First of all: you must visit Snowdonia! It is one of the most beautiful & relaxing place I have visited in whole UK. We visited Beddgelert at the end of August. Such a small and magical town that must be visited if you are in Snowdonia.

Tea Rooms. A place with true character. We had two dinners there. The décor and the history behind it is very interesting, the Owner was very happy to share few spooky stories with us. The food was delicious, we ordered the beef casseroles (twice!). All home made and organic! Quite big selection for such a small place. Also they had a great selection of wines! We even bought a bottle of lovely Shiraz to take home with us. The service was great. The Owner gave us his attention and time. And his knowledge about everything was very impressive! He is a big personality of this place. It was a true experience and we will definitely will be back in a spring time :-)

“Delicious Tea”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

During our visit to Wales we spent an afternoon in Beddgelert and had a nice walk around. This Tea Room is right by the bridge in a charming old building. Once inside, you go upstairs to the tea rooms, where you look over the antique shop. The space is charming and comfortable, and we had a nice chat with the hostess about the house. We really enjoyed their Bara brith as well as the scones, and the clotted cream was very fresh.
