First of all: you must visit Snowdonia! It is one of the most beautiful & relaxing place I have visited in whole UK. We visited Beddgelert at the end of August. Such a small and magical town that must be visited if you are in Snowdonia.

Tea Rooms. A place with true character. We had two dinners there. The décor and the history behind it is very interesting, the Owner was very happy to share few spooky stories with us. The food was delicious, we ordered the beef casseroles (twice!). All home made and organic! Quite big selection for such a small place. Also they had a great selection of wines! We even bought a bottle of lovely Shiraz to take home with us. The service was great. The Owner gave us his attention and time. And his knowledge about everything was very impressive! He is a big personality of this place. It was a true experience and we will definitely will be back in a spring time :-)

During our visit to Wales we spent an afternoon in Beddgelert and had a nice walk around. This Tea Room is right by the bridge in a charming old building. Once inside, you go upstairs to the tea rooms, where you look over the antique shop. The space is charming and comfortable, and we had a nice chat with the hostess about the house. We really enjoyed their Bara brith as well as the scones, and the clotted cream was very fresh.

Excellent dinner with friends. Enjoyed the lamb and the accompanying selection of cooked vegetables. Desserts were very good as well. The tea room and restaurant is in an old period house, very well renovated with interesting antique pottery on display, creating a vary pleasant ambience. Nice atmosphere with the owners.

This is not your typical bistro, and probably all the better for that. On arrival we were shown into an old fashioned 'snug' bar for a drink and to look at the menu. There was a good choice of regular stuff on the menu and plenty of specials too, which were explained as we went along. The wine list is great. The dining area is full of antiques (which are for sale) and they lend the place a unique atmosphere. The service and food (I had boar casserole) were very very good. Shame they choose to charge an extra 3% if you pay by card (debit and credit). Notwithstanding this - we would go back.
