This seems to be the only eating place in Beddgelert that allows dogs inside, which is essential when it is raining cats and, well, dogs!

It looks a bit gloomy when you first go in, but it is well worth persevering. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Went here with two young children (12 and 6) and two dogs. Had some sandwiches for lunch - soft baguettes or bread, with a good range of really nice, good quality fillings. They came with a good side sald and potato wedges, which was a surprise.

Good real ale (from Robinsons), comfortable, friendly, takes children and dogs, good food, what more can you ask for?

Popped in here for a couple of pre-dinner drinks. It's a nice little pub with freindly staff and some nice outside seating. Not sure about the food as it does not display a food hygiene rating where all other restaurants did.

As we were staying in the village and this was just across the road from our cottage and it got the evening sun, it was first on the list..It has two dining areas one in the main bar area and one in a quieter room across the hall. It was a very friendly bar and the specials on the board looked very apetizing. I had the Liver casserole,my partner had the pork shanks and the boys had Lasagne and fish and chips. 1st what great portions, all the food was hot and tasted lovely. Myself and my partner had a lovely selection of fresh veg with our meals. The lasagne came with salad and garlic bread.the piece of fish was huge not just all batter.I felt the prices were very reasonable £50 for the four of us with drinks. I love the beer in this place,Dizzy Blonde ale and Trooper are good ones to try. Overall a very pleasant place to eat or just have a drink. We went back here twice just to have a drink..Oh and a pudding, recommend sticky toffee pudding and bramley apple pie. Good setting with with friendly staff.

The food was fine. My son and I had had the liver and bacon which was very good but the accompanying vegetables were over cooked and very soft. My wife had the chicken curry which was tasty with fresh spices. The beer is well kept.

The inside seating was shabby and looked like it has not been looked after. It has free wifi which is fine until lots of people decide to use it at the same and listen to music, videos etc so forget any conversation as all you will hear is the sound of phones, tablets etc.

You can take dogs in if they are well behaved, which is fine.

If you want a quick meal then this place is fine as it is handing if you don't want to drive anywhere and you are staying in the village. If you want finer dinning then go elsewhere.

If you drive there then parking will be difficult.

The food here is plentiful and tasty. The gammon was huge but also well cooked. Beef Madras was accompanied by decent Basmati rice, naan and chips! Welcoming staff and child friendly. A good local pub next to the beautiful river.
