I had chicken pasta and my companion had Thai green curry. There was a bit of a wait for the food but it's a nice pub well laid out and nicely furnished.

We had stopped here for a beer sitting outside in the sushine so decided it looked like a nice venue for an evening bar meal. As we have two children we were told to go to the back bar where they appear to put the riff raff (those with children and dogs). Maybe they make the posh front bar look scruffy! Now I am no Alex Polizzi but to force most of your punters in an out of the way soulless bar (bearing in mind it is a walkers area, hence dogs, and a holiday resort, hence children) at the back of the pub so it doesnt look busy in the front bar or have any atmosphere there either is plain weird. However it was raining and we thought we would give it a try. Warning signs rang when I ordered Thai green veggie curry and asked for half chips half rice, then was told "no you can't have it cos they come with one or the other" obviously pre packed frozen stuff. Kids had scampi, as did hubby, very small portions all round, and my veggie curry had chicken in it!Quite pricey too, for portion size/quality not worth more than a fiver. We stayed for puddings mainly cos we were still hungry (rare for us). Only upsides were the beer was ok and the young girl who served us was charming and very pleasant. One to avoid.

Had a meal with the family and got shunted into the family room. The 'waitress' service stopped after a few minutes and had to queue at bar for everything which took ages. The food was overpriced and bland and looked as if it had just come out of the microwave - there was no old tom in the steak and ale pie either.

Visited recently whilst staying in the village as the hotel looks lovely and the sign outside said dogs were welcome. We entered and sat down in the main bar area which was almost empty but we were quickly told to move the the back room as we had a dog, we felt like lepers! The back room is grubby and cold, needless to say we drank up and left.
A few days later we returned to eat without the dog and had fish and chips, they were horrible just frozen rubbish for £9.50, there were only one other couple in the bar it was sole less, seems a shame as the location is lovely all they need is a decent chef.

A terrible lamb shank, in Wales! How is that even possible... It's one of the easiest things to cook. It was stone cold & pale.
Beers where nice so was the building - but two meals out of 6 arriving cold is unforgivable.
