We stopped at this tea room because of the patio area as we have a rather large (Leonberger) dog so our options for eating out are limited. That said, it was such good value for money that we ended up going back the following day after a fruitless search for a suitable venue. My husband and I both had the set tea - scone with jam and clotted cream and a slice of bara brith with a pot of tea for £4.95 and shared a ham and cheese salad triple decker sandwich - excellent value at £3.75. The kids had steak baguettes and panninis. All the food was really good value for money - and the service, whilst not effusive, was friendly enough. An ideal, dog-friendly choice!

Good choice of food, nicely presented and plentiful, desserts were scrummy, prompt service and good value. Would recommend for 'everyday dining'

We passed this place on our way to see Bedgellert's grave and it was chokka block so we gave it a miss however a couple of hours later, when the " lunch hour" rush had faded, and we had seen all we wanted to see, we went back and found ourselves sitting in the lovely sunshine in the outside patio area.
The seats/ tables are extremely heavy and there is certainly no risk of them blowing away!. The choice on the menu was great ( much more than other places we had visited whilst on our holiday) and we were certainly all filled to busting when we left.
The staff were very pleasant and polite and there was no problem at all with the service ( I assume that the complaints about the length of time for service were due to afore mentioned " lunch hour traffic".
Between us we had pizza ( nice but quite dry), pasta Leonardo ( a spicy chicken pasta dish, which was very tasty!), and two childrens meals, with four drinks and it cost us just over £40, which to my mind, was quite expensive but that said, it was probably the best meal we had eaten out in the whole week of visiting various places in North Wales.

The location of the tearooms is very attractive - a garden full of tables with umbrellas across the small lane from the river. So we went in for a light lunch but all four of us were disappointed. The staff were friendly but the very simple food took a long time to arrive, and then was of poor quality. In contrast to other reviews, we did not consider the prices to be reasonable.
Our friends have eaten there before and had been satisfied with their experience, so maybe we hit a particularly bad day. However, I fear that we are not keen to repeat the experience, so we might not find out.

Family lunch. Friendly staff - order taken very promptly but we had to wait a little too long for it to arrive. When it did however, it did not disappoint. An excellent bacon and cheese melt contained sweet fried onions and the roast ham and salad sandwich was a cut above the usual and thankfully - no mayo. My two daughters made do with a baked potato and a sausage sandwich resp. Not cheap but worth it.
Pudding was an ice cream from the excellent shop further up the street. Remarkable to find such a place in a village the size of Beddgelert.
