I took some friends for a walk to the falls, they were very impressed with the falls and enjoyed the walk to the top. We then called at the cafe at the bottom for a well earned cup of tea and a cake. The only thing you have to do is make sure you have change for the parking meter as its pay and display.

WOW!!! This is one of the most beautiful places Ive ever been to. It's not just the scenery but the adventure of walking up the mountain side not knowing what awaits you around the next corner... theres an atmosphere to the place that just makes you want to smile.... it felt like being in a CG generated enviroment from the Tomb Raider games.
The kid's loved it nearly as much as I did and they didn't complain once about the climb and that's a first for my kid's. The paths are very well maintained and I was quite happy walking up with my 6 year old although I did make sure she always walked on the side furthest from the edge. Took us about 30 mins to get to the top and that was taking lot's of breaks.
There is easy parking at the bottom and a very reasnable £2.00 fee to park.

This is a very friendly family run café which is attached to the hotel at the foot of the Dolgoch Waterfalls.

The menu is basic café food ( sandwiches, baked potatoes etc), but is very nice, freshly made and the staff are friendly.

There couldn't be a nicer view to be seen from a café elsewhere.

For the past 30 years, I have visited Dolgoch Falls when stopping in the locale. The walk to the top of the falls can be done in under 30 minutes, and it makes a great spot for a picnic.

This was a lovely walk to the falls. I would recommend you visit separately from a trip on the steam railway as it is much more peaceful and atmospheric that way.
