Owner description: The highest mountain in Wales (higher than any in England) at 3,560 feet.

I felt a definite sense of achievement having successfully walked to the summit of Snowdon and back down again.
If you take the Llanberis path, there is no danger - it is really just a footpath, but just after the halfway point it does gets quite challenging for a while, purely through the steepness of the ascent and the uneven rock steps. It gets easier again after that section.
Pick the right day and the views just get better and better and better. If you just want to get the view, you can take the little train to the top and back - it is worth noting that if you walk up, you are unlikely to be able to take the train back, as most people buy a return ticket..!!
If you're thinking of doing this trek, wear appropriate footwear, take an extra layer unless it is scorching and definitely take a couple of bottles of water. As mentioned, it is not too challenging if you're a regular walker but you should be prepared, especially if the weather changes. I think it works out about about ten or so miles to walk from the car park at the foot of the mountain, to the summit, and back.
Really good fun...!!

The path was pretty strenuous, although do-able for our whole family. Its a great walk and a great view. Dress appropriately (it can get cold), bring plenty of water and snacks, and bring your camera. It truly is beautiful, just make sure you are prepared! we loved it

Snowdon is not dangerous if you take the Llanberis path but it is quite strenuous .I was born and brought up in Wales and have climbed it many times ,latterly with my own children (from age 6) .I am alas now 'past it ' .I have so many times seen people in inappropriate clothing (it can be very cold at the top even in summer) and footwear .You are endangering yourself and possibly others .Do not even think about doing Crib Coch unless you have a good head for heights and are an experienced climber .A young man -amember of a University mountaineering Club-died on this ridge only yesterday -these mountains can and do kill .Having said that ,there is nothing to beat the sense of achievement and the view from the top .

a lovely peaceful walk surrounded by spectacular views, everyone you see walking up and down snowdonia are happy and content, as it just makes you smile, i enjoyed it so much my boyfriend was not keen when we started to walk up but soon changed, pretty quick smiling and really enjoyed the walk up and down, we even said we will do it again when we are next in the area :)
depends on how quicker walker you are but 2 hours minimum is needed to walk up and down that is at a quick pace :) well worth it though.

Due to the snow and ice and the bad incoming weather, we only managed to get to the reservoirs but that a brilliant view. The landscape is breathe taking, and the snow made for great photos and a great walk.

Well worth the visit what ever the weather and a definite place we will be coming back to.

You can't describe just how good the place is.......just go there and see for yourself.
