Friendly, welcoming pub

We happened across the Panton Arms by complete chance. We had finished a walk and were driving back to our holiday cottage. We had not had lunch and were hungry and thirsty. As it was late in the afternoon we were going to settle for a beer and a packet of crisps but were offered a selection of great bar snacks. We settled on the duo of pork pies which went perfectly with a glass of Purple Moose Glaslyn beer. The barman was friendly and welcoming, as were some of the locals! All in all a nice, friendly, comfortable pub, a really good place to stop, I would recommend it to anyone.

We ate there last night for about the third time in six months. The food has been good on all three occasions but getting even better. We were spoilt for choice by the great selection of starters and main courses and every dish was superb. It was a busy night and the staff were working really hard but still remaining friendly and professional and the service was brilliant. Great beer selection, too. Nice relaxed atmosphere and our regular visits to Anglesey are now not complete without a visit to the Panton. We're looking forward to enjoying the entertainment in the garden in summer!

On a short break on Anglesea Wales we had a family meal at the Panton arms in the village of Pentraeth, it was a wonderful meal and we all agreed that the food was excellent.
The service was also very good, we will go again when we are in the vicinity.
