We visited this attraction with our two young children and were very impressed with the welcome and the labour of love that this experience clearly is.

The kids loved finding out about evolution, dinosaurs and looking at the wide range of fossils.

The staff here couldn't be more helpful, so I can only assume the previous reviewer didn't have an appreciation of all the hard work that has clearly gone into this experience.

If your kids have a thirst for knowledge, give this a go!

after reading the previous persons review we thought we'd give this place a whirl. On pulling in to the car park you're greeted by a table of stones for sale at 25p each. The same rocks are covering the car park so you could actually pick one up for nothing! (or wait till the end where you'll find a pile of complimentary rocks). The first stage is the evolution of the earth a time when most of the earth was under water. To illustrate this the museum has a painted blue corridor with a blue tarpaulin hung over the top with one rubber jelly fish hanging down, The rest of the museum is pretty much the same - all hand made there isn't really anything of interest at all. all the animals/creatures are mostly paper mache (not very well made) with ping pong balls for eyes and the dinosaur desert scene made me howl with laughter. It's basically a sandy board with a few plastic dinosuars laid out. They aren't even to scale or the right colour there was a purple triceratops 3 times the size of a stripy brontosaurus. The crazy chap that owns this place showed us the cave paintings in the cave outback. That he painted himself!!! then told me all about the state of the economy in the USA ( no I didn't see the connection either) Basically an old chap is charging thickos like me a load of cash to look at his rubbish. We paid £15 pounds for a fleeting visit. The only thing genuine here is the fact that it's a genuine rip off.

This awesome family run museum has to be top of the places everyone visiting Anglesey must head towards. It's stuffed full of history, geology, fossils and so much more - in the finest tradition of the great antiquarian collections the range & diversity of the exhibits almost defies description. The staff are friendly & helpful & the well stocked shop is a great place to buy souvenirs or add to your own collection.

On pulling in to the car park, we wondered whether we were at the right place. Boy, were we glad we stopped here. It is a little boy's dream, not least because it is slightly grubby and apparently disorganised. Both my children loved it.

The building is crammed with all sorts of fascinating rocks, fossils, dinosaur displays. Reproduction wooly mammoths sit cheek-by-jowl with fossilised fish. It's a bit higgledy-piggledy, but every step brought another discovery, whether it was a t-rex head or learning the difference between pterodactyls and pteranodons. It was very hands-on and interactive.

We were ably guided by the owner, who alternated between explaining the exhibits and leaving us to explore under our own steam. He's both knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

And the shop at the end? Just brilliant!
