We travelled from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire and back again a week later. On both segments we purchased the premium tickets (Fast on/ fast off and access to the louge.) The time passed quickly on the high speed cat vessel.

Both times we arrived about an hour and a bit ahead. On the return segment, we were first off and this of course is well worth the price.

The louge was fine,,, a bit noisy for the most part, but we enjopyed the space, coffees and snacks.

Sit back and enjoy the crossing.

We were travelling on the Stena Britannica from Harwich to Hoek van Holland. When we arrived on board they didn't play a greeting or safety message over the PA system. But anyway, the boat trip was great, it was very smooth, on such a windy day. It was only a little bit bumpy, but I didn't really feel it, as I spent most of the journey lying in the Casino window. There were electrical outlets everywhere which worked great, the entertainment zone is surprisingly very small but there's lots of space to freely move about, the boat just looks big because it has alot of cabins. We ate lunch in the restaurant, the fries were really nice, they werent the really fatty type. The boat had a basketball/football court on board which was great, my nephew spent his day there. There's also a reading room, games room, cinema, shop and internet room. The Wi-Fi worked, but it was pretty slow and you couldn't you couldn't really get a good connection to it. At least it worked though.

I had a great time aboard the Stena Hollandica on my way to Amsterdam from London. We boarded the ship from Harwich and it was an overnight journey to the Hook of Holland. The ship was huge and the rooms very spacious and clean. I loved climbing the detachable ladder to my bunk. Although there are a lot of entertainment options on board, we were too tired to try any. However I would recommend shopping for wine and perfume from their Duty free shop as they come with a reasonable price tag. They accepted both Euro & Pound for our convenience. I should mention that the counter sales duo was a really pleasant pair. I loved the interior of the ferry while the view from the decks were beyond brilliant. The only disappointment was the food served during dinner, which was not up to the mark at all. Nevertheless they made up for it during breakfast the next day. Overall it will remain as one of my memorable trips on the sea.

This was just an awesome option to travel from The Netherlands to London.

Ferry departs from The Hook of Holland around 10:30Pm and you arrive by 6:00am the following morning. Stena has the customer service side really figured out ... once you place your on-line order you are provided with your own personal web-page to sort all of your arrangements. You can book your on-board meals and train tickets for your arrival. Boarding process was extremely smooth and the staff all strategically located so you find your state room quickly.

We were on vacation so decided to go for the best ... booked a Captains Berth ... which was like a large hotel room overlooking the bow of the ferry plus we has an additional window on the starboard side. Contents of the mini bar were included in the rate which included a couple of beers, 2 wines, orange juice and a few munchies ... just right for us. Our room had a nice shower and 2 flat screen TV's. In the end the cost is not that much for what you get ... so splurge and enjoy.

At the last minute we opted to have dinner onboard and for the price again was well worth the investment ... so something to consider. You can arrive early and board the vessel around 7PM which is actually a good idea.

Leaving the ship was easy as staff guided us to the waiting train for a speedy departure into London.

This adventure became a key memory of our trip ... hope it will for you also. We found this a nicer option than taking the Chunnel train ... and for planes we do enough of that while working.
