“Just Super”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Eight of us had meals delivered to our campsite. Super tasting typical Indian food. Every one of us said how nice it was and would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone who likes a curry. Delivery and prices to match, all in all excellent.

“Lovely Indian Food”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We came here for an evening Indian meal, on holiday. Taste of India serves outstanding food and drinks (they do not do alcohol). The only downside was the fan to a fridge was making a very irritating noise that quite loud, but it stopped after a while. Quite small inside but very nicely decorated. Overall very good restaurant.

“A real surprise.”
Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

We were the only customers on a very windy night and that worried us but the food was excellent and we wondered why it was not full. Very reasonable prices helped by not serving alcohol. Very close to ferry and parking available outside. Delighted we found it.

“Good meal, handy for raiwlay station / ferry and Travelodge”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Thought we would try this while staying at the nearby Travelodge, and were not disappointed. Wholly acceptable Vegetarian Biriani (more than we could east) not too spiced, at a reasonable price and decent service. Not many eat-in customers in the early evening, but a steady flow of take-aways being despatched. We'd certainly go again if in Holyhead.

Note - they do not serve alcoholic drinks.

“Fantastic food, great service! Taste of India is back!”
Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

We went to Taste of India tonight after walking out of Grace's Bistro in disgust.

We used to be very regular visitors here but as someone else has recently said, the quality of both food and service had gone downhill (perhaps they got complacent, as they were the best in the area), so we hadn't been for a while. We were hungry though, so went tonight and what a pleasant surprise! The food was back to the old high standards, really tasty, excellent use of spices - the leftovers have come home with us. The food was piping hot, onion bhajis were perfect, Nan bread delicious, rice divine and curries absolutely perfect!

The service was excellent - friendly, attentive - we couldn't have asked for better. Complimentary popadoms were brought to us within moments of our arrival, with a decent sized tray of dips and unlike Grace's, they were happy to provide a glass of tap water (or 4), without trying to con us into buying bottled water with some cock and bull story about contaminated mains water supply!!

All in all, a lovely end to what started as a bad evening. If you haven't been to Taste of India before, try it and if you're a disillusioned past customer, go back!
