“Excellent take away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

We have had take away from here on numerous occasions, the latest being a couple of days ago. Every single time the quality is always very high, and this was no exception. The special biryiani is wonderful and the flavour to be had from the jaal chicken is marvellous, though not for the faint hearted.

Service is always prompt and courteous. I really can't fault this establishment. I can't comment on the dining in experience, but it's so small (akin to a front room) I'm nit sure I'd enjoy the cheek by Joel dining experience.

Great good value Indian with very attentive staff. Were offered free popadoms which helped to break the ice.

“Great take away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

Great menu, food is always good. Very big portions. Delivery is 40 minutes usually from when you placed the order. Chicken tikka madras is great. I haven't eaten in the restaurant for a while but when I did service was good. Book in advance as it is quite small

“A Taste Of India In A small Corner Of Wales”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2012

Although I regularly get take away meals from here it's been a while since I've eaten in here. When I have ordered a take-out I am not usually waiting long, often not as long as they tell me over the phone.
It's a small restaurant,so if you have your heart set on going here it may be as well to book if there is a few of you. It's quite a cosy atmosphere, not intrusive music, the staff are attentive without being overbearing.
The food is to die for, a good choice of curries, which can be made with your choice of meat, or vegetables if you are a vegetarian. Some places have different curries with different textures and colours but with basically the same flavour, Taste Of India is different, they each have their own flavour. The portions are generous, but without being stupidly big. (I'm not a big eater so a takeaway curry will do me two meals) I try to have a meal from here every time I am in Holyhead.
The only thing is that it is quite small so if you were the only person iin there you may feel quite self-concious, on the other hand you may be disappointed if you turned up on the off chance as it may be full. Highly recommended though, if you can't get in there, get a take-out it's well worth it.
