The Monravon was an overnight stop on a trip from Edinburgh to Dublin. We arrived about 8 pm and were greeted by Anne who quickly settled us into our room. The location was quiet and we had a great sleep. In the morning Anne had our breakfast waiting for us, as we were catching the early ferry to Dublin.

We had a very pleasant stay.

After coming in from the ferry crossing with three children in tow, Monravon is just a stones throw away, perfect for hopping off the ferry and in to the most comfortable beds we slept on for our entire week in the UK. The proprietor was so helpful (opened the doors for us at 1.30am, just in from our sailing). The food and hospitality were first class. Facilites were clean and very comfortable. The B&B is set in a quiet residential area and we experienced no noise at all. A welcomed, comfortable stay after our sailing. Thanks so much.

Room Tip: Some rooms face to the front, but it's in a very quiet area of Holyhead. We had no noise pollut...

We stayed one night before catching ferry to Ireland. We found it very clean & comfortable with lovely hosts whose main concern was our comfort. Lovely breakfast too. We would definitively stay there again

This was a great place to stay after arriving by ferry from Ireland, a short taxi ride to the B & B. Very clean and tidy, with great guest lounge and computer to use. Very obliging friendly hosts, highly recommend.

Two minutes from the ferry in Holyhead, and total care and comfort exceeding all B&B standards - it's all been said by other people, and it's all true !

We stayed here two years ago when we last went to the Punchestown Festival in Ireland, and it was exactly the same then - we wrote in the book that we'd return, the pity of it is that it isn't more often !!

True, car parking can be a problem, but that's why we've got legs, and even with a pushchair one could park reasonably nearby in the street. It still won't be as far as you will need to walk around the ship once you leave your car ! The convenience of the location, and above all the warmth of the welcome and the standard of accommodation, make it absolutely worthwhile.

There is a guest lounge which has on-tap tea and coffee making facilities, and a TV, and it is extremely comfortable. This is very rare in a B&B, and we use them a great deal, all over the country. It is just another exceptional touch in this wonderful establishment.

There is an excellent Indian restaurant down in the main road too . . . . !

One night stay before going for the ferry. Excellent location for the port. We arrived at 11.30pm and there was someone at the door to greet us. Room basic but clean and large with a cot provided for our baby. Good selection at breakfast. Staff very friendly. On the down side there was no parking at the property, roadside only, although there was plenty of space. The shower was very weak. At breakfast the toast was mouldy but when this was pointed out it was replaced with a fresh batch straight away. Would stay here again.

Extremely clean, comfortable, hospitable and accommodating, whether arriving by late ferry or stopping before crossing the Irish Sea to Dublin. I stayed with my senior father on a family history holiday and I can't imagine anyone being less than completely satisfied at this B&B. Modern building has 7 rooms for families or singles, only 1 minute walk from large public park. Amenities are kept up to date: all rooms en suite and showers sparkling clean, flat screen TV, excellent wi-fi comes with room, and entire place well decorated like home. Lovely full spread of breakfast fare with many choices and a full English breakfast for only 4 quid extra (order night before). Call on the host and hostess any time, on premises, very secure. We were amazed by the attentive service! A quiet place, easy walk into the town, ferry port very close, plenty of parking right on the street or small lot. There's a large common room with coffee table on main floor, has guest computer and a large flat screen television, and the tea is ready 24/7. --T.W., Louisville Kentucky USA.

Room Tip: Rear rooms have large sunny windows, good views. Request main floor room if stairs are a problem.
