We visited this bistro for morning coffees and were so impressed with the atmosphere we booked for dinner. We weren't disappointed. They only have 7 tables and do 2 servings. We were on the later 8pmish slot. Our table looked out over the harbour as the sun set. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, it was delightfully relaxed. The food was tasty and well cooked but not too stuffy. After dinner we sat out on the terrace with our drinks, there was a slight chill and we were wrapped up in colourful fleecy blankets... Could have stayed until the wee small hours chatting, unfortunately they shut at 11pm... My only complaint. I will return

We booked in advance for a Friday night meal. Its a small place and the emphasis is on FRESH, done simple. It Works. We had a small table by the window with views of the harbour. Outside was a space to drink and stay warm under the provided fleeces. nice touch. We where seated by a very friendly lady who tld us her Uncle owned the place. She was an absolute charm. Natural and professional. effortless in making us feel welcome. ( just sorry i failed to get your name) We ordered Bermuda sea food chowder as a starter for Tracy, it was ecellent, I had the pate. it was excellent, Mains where Braised lamb Shank, Champ, Veg for Mrs H and Hake for me. Both exceptional. A couple of beers and the same amount of wine and the Bil was a very nice surprise. Book it. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Having read trip advisor reviews we were encouraged to try this bistro which we have never visited despite holidaying in the area for 10 years. The approach is down a passageway beside the museum but once there you will not be disappointed !
We had the dog with us so were limited to sitting on the deck outside - fantastic views over the marina and shingle beach and sea lapping at the foot of the deck. The staff were really helpful, showing us the most sheltered place to eat and providing fleecy blankets in case it got too cold for us ( it didn't !) A quick foray inside revealed a lovely well set out bistro, with picture window overlooking the marina again. The bistro is small and booking is required for evening meals. Our only niggle was the bench seating outside - bolted to the floor so a little uncomfortable when you couldn't move it to your desired seating position.
The food was good, starters excellent. I had homemade chicken liver pâté, truly homemade - earthy and a generous portion served with a lovely chutney. My partner had Bermuda fish chowder - "I could eat that for the main as well it was so good !"
The mains were not quite as good. The pork medallions were cooked well but the sauce needed a stronger flavour and was beginning to split on the plate. The hake was oven baked and again just needed a little more seasoning.
Overall we were impressed with the location and polite, well mannered attentive staff. The espresso was wonderful and the food good. We will be visiting again very soon.

A group of 16 including myself went to celebrate our grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, the staff were great at helping us to set up the venue prior to arrival. We had ordered weeks in advance and were delighted that as we arrived the food was ready, drinks were served promptly, the starters were all amazing and presented to a very very high standard. The main courses arrived shortly after, along with a baby champagne and a glass of whiskey on the house for the grandparents, ( this was just the first touch of brilliance by the staff) the main course varied with fish, steak and pork to name a few, all of which were brilliant, desert was then served a plate was brought out with a happy anniversary message from the staff which the grandparents really loved. Overall the food was brilliant, the atmosphere second to none and the staff were the best I've ever come across!

We found this place from tripadvisor, and gave it a go. 2 adults two children, and all I can say is that it was great, perfect. Food quality, service and friendliness .... The only downside is they are not open all week....

I travel the world for work and this place stacks up well against the best with just a handful of tables and a half hidden location.

Well done and thanks to the Chef and waiting staff... From the Budapest Family.
