Breezy but lovely sunny day for our visit. Took our Westie up to the summit against his wishes, probably!
Great round walk. Topped off with top bloke in the visitor centre, fellow Spurs fan COYS!

As the weather was kind today we decided to do a circular walk around Holyhead Mountain. We started with a coffee in the RSPB cafe - unfortunately the Tower was shut so we couldn’t make use of the telescopes etc, but there wasn’t much birdlife around. Once we got on the right track the walk was waymarked and fairly easy to follow. There were quite a few steep climbs, but consequently the views were amazing. A bonus was finding the industrial heritage centre halfway round - an ideal stop for our picnic lunch - the cafe was closed but thankfully the loos were open! We returned to the RSPB cafe just in time for a well-earned cup of tea and slice of cake.

Visited for a few hours. Took the trail towards the lighthouse, climbed various steps with great views out to sea and of Holyhead mountain. Saw a few choughs which was great to see. I imagine this place is even better in springtime. Cafe was warm and welcoming with really good quality food for a cafe at a good price. A must visit if in the area.

What a lovely afternoon, started with free parking (that never happens)!!!
Wonderful views in every direction, several shortish walks ideal for kids.
Tower has a viewing window and helpful rspb staff to point out sights.
Cafe was also great

Lucky again this year ! Wonderful weather, no wind and blazing sunshine. Fortunate again to get a glimpse of puffins among the thousands of other sea birds - guillemots, razor bills and gulls. Jolly good ice cream at the RSPB shop as well - see you next year !

Providing the weather is kind, this is a brilliant place to visit and walk. Breathtaking views, lots of endangered coughs flying around and people in the RSPB shop/cafe are really helpful and friendly.

Best Day to visit is on a windy, you will get blown away. Only 2 buses a Day from Holyhead. 1 hour walk from town. Greatest sight in Holyhead.

of the sea and lighthouse station and a good place to visit if you are later taking the ferry back to Dublin. Lots of illustrative boards to fill you in on the detail if you care to wander about the surroudning hills. Shop too.
